Setting

Damson is situated close to a local church, and you may occasionally hear the sound of church bells chiming nearby.

Living

Exuding quintessential cottage charm, the main sitting room at Damson offers a welcoming retreat for unwinding after a day of coastal adventures. Rich green walls create a sophisticated backdrop to two plush Rowen & Wren sofas positioned either side of a bijou wood burner, complete with a footstool in harmonious hues. Soak in heavenly vistas across the enclosed garden as the fire radiates warmth and ambience throughout the cooler months, creating a beautiful setting for unplugged rest.

Drenched in buttery hues, a separate sitting room invites moments of calm, with equally enchanting views across the picturesque garden. A blue pinstripe sofa rests alongside a frilly footstool, while a comfortable armchair and charming window seat offer additional spots to unwind. Settle in for cosy evenings in front of the Smart TV, creating the perfect setting to lose yourself in a catalogue of films and series. At the far side of the room, a charming writing desk awaits, should you need to catch up on an email or two during your stay. For added entertainment, you'll find Bluetooth speakers to soundtrack your favourite holiday playlists.

Eating and dining

At the heart of Damson lies the traditional kitchen, with bespoke cabinetry in forest shades, and a central island for preparing culinary delights. The kitchen is well-equipped, with an American style fridge freezer, induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and a washer-dryer. Completing the kitchen's timeless aesthetic, the Aga is a decorative feature and is not in use.

Just beyond the kitchen, a rustic dining table with complementary chairs and a dining bench creates an inviting setting for both pared-back brunches and lavish suppers.

Sleeping and bathing

Beyond the traditional steep staircase, three beautiful bedrooms await on the first floor.

Dressed in a palette of blush hues, the master bedroom exudes understated elegance, centred around a sumptuous king-size bed. A wardrobe and chest of drawers offer ample storage, while the ensuite bathroom invites a serene space for refreshing rainfall mornings and indulgent soaks after days spent exploring.

Beautifully styled in soft, earthy tones, the second bedroom offers a serene sanctuary, where a double bed is framed by a William Morris headboard in complementary shades. A chest of drawers provides storage, and a charming window seat creates a cosy nook for curling up with a captivating read.

In a symphony of rich damson hues, the third bedroom welcomes restful nights, complete with twin beds with pinstripe headboards, which can be arranged into a super-king bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. Built-in wardrobes provide plenty of storage, complemented by luxurious reading lamps atop the bedside tables, creating an inviting space to unwind with a classic novel.

On the first floor, you'll find the family shower room, with heated towel rail to keep towels fluffy and warm. In addition, you can find a separate toilet on the ground floor.

Outdoor space

Outside, a tranquil paradise awaits, framed by an abundance of lush greenery. Relish moments of calm beneath blue skies from the inviting lounge set, the perfect spot for outdoor tipples and leisurely afternoons. For alfresco dining, a large round table sits on the gravel pathway, accompanied by a Weber charcoal barbecue, perfect for preparing freshly grilled feasts. As night falls, retreat to the bubbling electric hot tub for soothing dips beneath the stars, before settling into the Adirondack chairs with a cosy blanket and soaking up the warmth of the glowing fire pit.

Parking

On-street parking can be found a short walk from Damson, opposite the church and near the village hall. If there are no on-street spaces available, additional parking can be found in the church car park.
