Living, Kitchen and Dining
At the heart of the home overlooking the blooming garden awaits the large, open plan living, kitchen and dining space. Light-filled and adorned in a plaster pink and with slate tiles throughout, this 60sqm space is an exquisite setting for hosting large gatherings of any occasion.
Blending whimsy with quintessential English charm, the bespoke kitchen is both practical and beautiful, promising handcrafted cabinetry by Guild Anderson and sleek concrete worktops, with a statement island inviting guests to gather for culinary creation. Everything you should require for mealtimes is on hand, including an Everhot oven with both hot plates and induction hobs, a Nespresso Magimix coffee machine, two dishwashers, and two large fridge-freezers. A washing machine and tumble dryer can be found in the separate utility, whilst an additional kitchen with a fluted butler sink ensures additional prep space, alongside a small undercounter fridge for extra storage.
Savour mealtimes around the adjacent round oak dining table, seating ten guests for both leisurely breakfasts and celebratory feasts beside expansive windows, where heavenly garden views unfurl beyond.
Drawing the eye with antique art and playful fabrics, the adjoining formal living room is an elegant space for post-dinner drinks and unhurried conversation hosted around the striking open fireplace, a dream on cooler days.
Beckoning screen enthusiasts is the inviting snug, featuring shaker panelling colour drenched in Emerald Green by Farrow and Ball. Designed for quiet retreat moments, an array of sumptuous seating surrounds the contemporary wood burning stove, with a Smart TV perfect for cosy winter evenings spent with a movie.
Beyond, a peaceful office with its striking library wall provides a tranquil workspace should inspiration strike during your stay.
For further staycation entertainment, there is a Bluetooth speaker for playing soulful soundtracks. For those seeking a dose of light-hearted competition, both a snooker and pool table can be found in the annexe.
Sleeping and bathing
Uncover five equally beautiful bedrooms at Morenwyn, four of which have their own ensuite and the fifth with its own separate bathroom.
Promising southerly views over the tranquil garden through original sash windows, the master bedroom 'Strawberry' is a calming space to savour mornings. Featuring a super king bed for lingering lie-ins, you'll also find a wooden chest of drawers, two bedside tables and a rail for storing belongings. Cloudy Zelligge tiles by Bert and May adorn the spacious rainfall shower in the adjacent ensuite bathroom, complete with a bath for soothing bubble-topped soaks.
A serene space in shades of blue, 'Stripe' is beautifully adorned with classic striped wallpaper and effortless elegance. Exuding period charm with a feature fireplace, a double bed awaits, alongside two wooden bedside tables and built-in cupboards for hanging garments. Contemporary Tadelakt walls ensure a stylish place for self-care in the ensuite, complete with a rainfall Drench shower and a handmade concrete sink.
Styled in flamboyant candy pink shades with blue inflections, 'Ikat' is a darling space to unwind, with double aspect windows overlooking Morenwyns' romantic rural surrounds. Featuring a super king zip-and-link with the option of single beds, this room is wonderful for those requiring flexible sleeping solutions. In the ensuite you'll find stunning terrazzo-style floor tiles and a walk-in shower.
A celebration of colour, 'Scallop' promises twin beds upholstered in a charming scallop-print fabric. For storage, you'll find a cupboard with drawers and rails. Next door is the welcoming family bathroom, with a tongue-and-groove panelled Burlington bathtub painted in Blazer by Farrow and Ball perfectly contrasting Lattice Cane wallpaper by Barneby Gates.
The final bedroom 'Seahorse' resides on the ground floor, embellished with heirloom antique furniture and jute carpet underfoot. Alongside a king-size bed with a braided rattan headboard, you'll find a Mahogany chest of drawers and storage cupboards. Powder blue walls and mosaic tiles set the scene for rejuvenating wake-ups in the accompanying ensuite, complete with a walk-in rainfall shower.
An additional WC can be found in the downstairs cloakroom, along with a shower in the separate annexe.
Outdoor space
An enchanting setting enveloped by emerald-green countryside and sheep-dotted paddocks, the outdoor space at Morenwyn promises alfresco magic at every turn. On the sweeping front lawn, a generous table for ten with rustic benches sets the scene for leisurely feasts and sparkling summer soirées, whilst a sofa and two armchairs invite for evening conversation with a glass in hand. There is also an outdoor shower, perfect for post-beach rinses.
Whilst the gardens remain perfectly enclosed for dogs, please note, there are roaming sheep in the fields towards the back of the retreat.
Parking
There is parking for up to four cars at Morenwyn. Please note, this is accessed via a narrow archway, so please do take care on arrival.

Up to five well-behaved dogs are most welcome at Morenwyn. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
