Living

The snug sitting room is just lovely, and the perfect space to retire to at the end of a busy day exploring the far west of Cornwall. With dark beams, cream plush sofas and ornate feature fireplace, this is a gorgeously sumptuous room, where pale, calming colours contrast beautifully with the dark wood and fireplace. Beautifully complimented by antique artwork, there's also a Smart TV for cosy nights in when you want to catch up on your favourite film or box set.

Eating

The kitchen and dining room are semi open plan, creating a wonderful space for convivial entertaining.

The welcoming country-style kitchen has warm wooden worktops, a double butler's sink, electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, separate wine fridge, washing machine and all the other essentials. Dual aspect windows mean this is a light, bright space in which to rustle up meals for your loved ones - just perfect!

The dining room is a wonderful space with beamed ceilings, dual aspect windows, antique dining table with accompanying ornate bench and chairs, plus a huge dresser filled with all the tableware you could possibly need for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners.

Sleeping and bathing

There are two stunning bedrooms to choose from.

Bedroom one has dual aspect windows making this a beautifully bright room. The super king-sized bed is a zip-and-link, meaning it can be split in to twin beds if required - perfect for friends or children. This room also has a dressing table, chest of drawers and an impressive antique wardrobe. The family shower room is next door to the bedroom.

Bedroom two has an en-suite and boasts an oh-so-romantic antique four poster double bed, with views over the garden and an accompanying antique dressing table with gorgeous marble topper. The en-suite is a shower room.

Outdoor space

Kildenna boasts a pretty cottage garden to call your very own. Tree-lined and lovely, the large lawned garden is just perfect for games, whilst the leafy boughs offer shady respite on a hot summer's day. Amongst the mature borders dotted with camellias (just lovely in early spring), there's a dining table for alfresco eating, whilst the fire pit is the perfect place to gather on a starlit evening to toast marshmallows on the fire and sip on hot toddies.

Parking

Kildenna has private, off-road parking for up to three cars.

Babies and children

Babies and children are most welcome at Kildenna. A travel cot can be provided on request.

Dogs

As there is livestock on the farm, Kildenna is one of our pet free properties.

The Longest Beaches in Cornwall

The Longest Beaches in Cornwall

Cornwall is home to many beautiful beaches: the golden frontiers between land and sea. But which are the longest beaches in Cornwall, and where can you find them?

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Kildenna:

This was such a beautiful property, local to amenities and a good starting point for exploring further afield but tucked away into a very private area of farmland. Arrival at the property and exploring inside was breathtaking as everything was so welcoming, including lamplight, softly playing music and fresh flowers in every room! I had bought flowers locally but there was absolutely no need at all. We only met one of the owners on arrival who was very welcoming and assured us he was available if we needed anything at all but we were allowed space and privacy to enjoy our stay. I have already recommended this property and Boutique Retreats to three other friends!

Kildenna is a beautiful quiet picturesque cottage. Perfect for coming back to after a busy day. The garden is beautiful and perfect for children to run around on.

Wow! What an amazing cottage and location. We are a family of 2 adults and a toddler, and we had everything we needed for a home away from home. The best of both worlds being very peaceful and remote, but only 5 mins from M&S, 10 mins from the beach and a national trust, and only 20 mins from St Ives. We had so much space and the garden is beautiful which our toddler loved exploring. The owners are very friendly, and there if you need anything, but respectful of your space. We really had a magical week and would definitely recommend.

Kildenna was a beautiful stay and exactly what we were looking for. The gorgeous cottage was in the perfect remote location, with beautiful nature right on the front door. We absolutely loved it and would definitely come back.

A beautiful house, just the right size for a family of three with extremely peaceful surroundings which provided the perfect disconnection from London. Great location.

Kildenna was so lovely that if it ever came up for sale, I would seriously consider buying it!

The owners of this property are a delight - they could not have been more hospitable

We booked a week as a family and found a wonderful "home away from home". Our 5 year old boy had the entire garden to cycle, explore. He spend hours by the stream just playing in the water and exploring. The owners are lovely and made us feel very welcome while giving us our space at all times.

The cottage has a heart-warming story and presence to it. The cottage is high-standard. The appliances are of high-grade (though the freezer is exceptionally small). So a family planning a week's stay needs to ensure they are not too reliant on frozen food.

The cottage offers a BBQ, firepit to cater to a fun time as a family.

We enjoyed our time so much that we booked again even before we completed our holiday. Highly recommend.
