In its open-plan living spaces, embrace moments of magic from slow soaks in the Japanese plunge bath to fireside relaxation with a glass in hand. Heading outside, find an idyllic courtyard garden festooned with palm fronds, perfect for Champagne toasts in the salted air. When wanderlust tempts, a plethora of attractions awaits nearby, with boutiques, bistros, and the exquisite beauty of the Cornish coastline only footsteps away. From seafood banquets by the shore and cocktails overlooking St Michael's Mount, to evenings of cliffside enchantment, pursue the finest ocean escapes and immerse in coastal living bliss at our darling abode.
Living
The elegant open-plan living area of The Store Room proposes the cosiest space for embracing slow moments. Crowned by vaulted ceilings and adorned in tranquil tones, coastal artworks, and vintage finds, each detail is carefully considered for utmost comfort. Cosy up on the deep sofa or relax in the armchair and bask in the charming ambience. In the cooler months, the wood burning stove casts a warming amber glow, while throughout the year, the skylights above frame ever-changing skies of cerulean blue and star-flecked night. For entertainment there is a Smart TV with a DVD player, as well as a digital radio for staycation soundtracks.
Eating
Adjoining the living area, the kitchen is a dream in soft-pink Farrow & Ball shades and slate tones. White tiles add subtle contrast, complemented by a white Belfast sink and silver inflections and illuminated by pendant lights and Velux windows. Craft delectable dinners to fuel wayfaring reveries and uncover the array of accoutrements, such as the double oven and DeLonghi Nespresso-compatible coffee machine with a choice of pods. To savour romantic repasts, take a seat at the vintage farmhouse dining table for two, or head outside to the private, wrap-around courtyard to enjoy alfresco feasts and starlit suppers under open skies. A washing machine/dryer is tucked away next to the kitchen.
Sleeping and bathing
Settle into serenity in The Store Room's master suite. A heaven-sent space with a vaulted ceiling, floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and calming tones, it presents an idyllic haven in which to unwind. Beckoning for repose, a king size Feather & Black bed with Harrison Spinks mattress promises cloud-soft comfort, swathed in the highest quality linens and topped with cosy cushions and throws. A floral feature wall frames a beautiful armoire and chest of drawers, meanwhile vintage books, antique illustrations, and tasteful embellishments add thoughtful touches throughout. For enchanted awakenings, nestle under the duvet during leisurely lie-ins, opening the glass door to the courtyard on balmy days to welcome soft sea breezes.
A stunning focal point, the bedroom also features an Omnitub Japanese plunge bath. Inspired by oriental soaking tubs, this deep, angular bath features an overhead drench shower and is perfect for long, restful soaks. For comfort and convenience, there is also a separate WC.
Outdoor space
Ideal for chasing the sun, The Store Room features a peaceful, wrap-around garden ornamented with honey-hued stone and splashes of manicured greenery. Enjoying a sheltered, south-facing aspect, the courtyard is a particular delight for alfresco dining. Curate flavoursome feasts with fresh produce sourced from the delis and stores of Mousehole and Mount's Bay and relax around the outdoor table and chairs. From late morning brunches to dinner dates at dusk, this private utopia is a dream.
Parking
There is a parking area allocated to The Store Room for one car. Please be aware that access to the parking space can be tricky, especially for large cars/4X4s. There is also a selection of car parks a moment's walk away in the village, including free parking on the approach and at the entrance to the village. Trace the flow of the South West Coast Path to uncover landmarks on foot or drive along coastal avenues to extend your adventures. Just a short distance away, Lamorna Cove is a particular favourite for its spectacular views, while further west, Land's End is adored by families for its unique location.
For those seeking creative performance, the world-renowned Minack Theatre can be found at Porthcurno, as well as the beloved Penlee Open Air Theatre in Penzance.
