Living

This beautiful home offers lots of space for entertaining, whether you choose to reside together or seek quietude and ocean vistas with a book in hand. The stunning sitting room is just lovely, with two spacious, comfortable sofas, an upholstered window seat with unprecedented sea views across Mounts Bay towards St Michaels Mount, a television (with Sky and Netflix) and a large coffee table. There's also a cosy Charnwood Blu Ecodesign log burner, set within a beautiful bespoke Portland stone fireplace. In the hall, you'll find an additional stunning marble fireplace, hand carved locally by Duke Stone of Cornwall.

You’ll also find a darling pair of armchairs nestled in the dining room looking out of the window and out to sea - a dreamy spot for a morning coffee. Little ones will love the snug/playroom, wallpapered in Howe Tutti, featuring a darling slipper chair in Beata Heuman, complete with an ottoman, lots of toys, books and a television with DVD player.

Eating

Simply breath-taking, the impressive, bespoke kitchen by George Robinson dark in olive shades is just stunning, whilst the glass ceiling offers plenty of light and the exceptional sea views across Mounts Bay, drawing the outside in.

A chef’s dream, the kitchen comes complete with all the essentials to create culinary masterpieces, from the Bertazzoni range oven, Fisher & Paykel fridge freezer and everything else you might need, plus a DeLonghi pump espresso machine, Sage juicer and even a waffle maker. The central island with wooden top promises plenty of prep space. There is a smaller dining table tucked beside the window to make the most of the mesmerising sea views, so whether you're welcoming sunrise over coffee and croissants or celebrating the sunset at suppertime, you'll be wowed every time.

For more formal affairs, there's a gorgeous dining area which easily seats ten, positioned in what was once the main entrance hall – a charming space for dinner parties and celebrations.

In addition, you’ll find a washing machine, double butler sink and tumble dryer in the utility room as well as plenty of space for coats and boots.

Sleeping and bathing

At Pembroke Lodge, there are five gorgeous bedrooms to choose from.

On the first floor awaits the dreamy master bedroom, with white wooden floors, beautiful floral curtains and blinds in classic Colefax Fowler fabrics. Promising spectacular sea views and a romantic king size sleigh bed, you’ll also find built-in wardrobes, a chest of drawers and a television.

Down the corridor resides a double bedroom with William Morris wallpaper and a gorgeous original feature fireplace. In the centre of the room rests a French Rattan bed, along with two bed side tables and a bespoke armchair upholstered in Hollyhocks Spring Velvet by House of Hackney. The calming third bedroom with pale yellows and green inflections offers an ivory iron double bed, along with two bedside tables and another feature fireplace.

On this floor is a bathroom with gorgeous coastal vistas and a freestanding bathtub for two, which can be accessed either through the second double bedroom or the main hallway ('Jack and Jill' doors).

On the second floor set amongst the eaves you'll find an idyllic double bedroom with wrought iron bed, upholstered in GP & J Baker, alongside a dressing table and two occasional chairs. Finally, there is a twin bedroom with two black wrought iron single beds and a chest of drawers - just perfect for little ones.

On this floor, there is also a light and airy shower room. There is also a luxurious shower room with French limestone tiles and Lefroy Brooks shower fittings on the ground floor, - a wonderful addition after days spent at the beach.

Outdoor space

To the front of Pembroke Lodge, with impressive sea views across Mounts Bay, awaits the gorgeous, lawned garden, perfectly positioned to make the most of sun-soaked days. There are plenty of chairs to lounge and gather, plus a BBQ, a Petersham Nurseries dining table and various benches for alfresco meals spent gazing out to sea. To the rear of the retreat lies a Mediterranean-esque, south-facing private courtyard garden, which is amply lit at night. Here you'll find a sofa and chairs, plus a firepit and a hot and cold outdoor shower.

Located just in front of the house is an ideal beach for dog walking and swimming.

Beautiful house with stunning views and gorgeous interiors

Wonderful house. Very clean. Lots of space and the kitchen was very well equipped.

A fabulous welcome with the most beautifully lit Christmas tree and a full basket of goodies for us. Lots of space to spread out and explore the gardens and local town. What a treat.

A perfect week with a fantastic location. The high standard of fittings and furnishings in the House. A home from home - we were lucky to celebrate Christmas in Cornwall with 3 generations of family. We loved the Mousehole Lights and the atmosphere in the Village.

We had a truly fantastic stay, thank you very much.

Absolutely stunning house in a fabulous location and incredible views.

A beautiful house, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen is the hub of this home and the views over the harbour are stunning. Watch the sun rise and the fishing boats Bob past.

A wonderful home for a family gathering. Perfect view and gorgeous interiors.

Delightful cottage in a real Cornish town, this is not like visiting St Ives or similar, it is a glorious fishing village. The house is ideally situated on the edge of Newlyn and Mousehole and so you have the benefit of great restaurants that you can walk to. Beautiful house ideal for a 2 family break.

Pembroke lodge meets every expectation. We really enjoyed our stay; the owners have payed a lot of attention to detail, it truly feels like a home away from home with all the comforts you need. The view from the kitchen is amazing with lots of light flooding in, and it's nice and cosy in the living room by the wood stove in the evenings. You can easily walk to nearby towns for a bite to eat, and yet you are away from the busiest tourist bustle. The location is perfect.

Pembroke Lodge is a beautiful house in the most stunning setting. Our constant view of the sea from the house and front garden was spectacular, and being able to buy fresh fish from Newlyn on a daily basis was a real treat. Being within walking distance of Mousehole and Penzance was another major plus. A dream holiday.

Breathtaking views of Mount's Bay!!

House was so spacious we didn’t use half of the living areas. Great location. Walked to Mousehole a few times during our stay. Recommendations in the welcome guide were all great too.

Beautiful house, amazing views, superbly furnished, lots of space inside and outside. We went in the summer but the house would be equally gorgeous in the middle of winter. Owners readily available inn case you need to contact them about anything. Great base to see surrounding areas, Eg Mousehole, St Michaels mount, Minnack theatre, st Ives, Sennen Cove…. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful home and very well presented and equipped. We loved all the extra touches, like flowers in vases in the kitchen and dining room. The welcome hamper was lovely too. Extremely good location and convenient for exploring the coast.

A lovely cottage in a great location. The perfect base to stay and enjoy the scenery or get out and about and explore the Cornish coastline.

We had the most lovely stay at Pembroke Lodge. The views were spectacular. It was spacious and comfortable. The house was conveniently located between Newlyn and Mousehole. The garden was lovely and a great space for a BBQ. All in all it was fabulous.

We had an amazing week at Pembroke Lodge and would definitely go back. Thanks so much for having us!

'Pembroke House is a jewel box of a home that allows you a luxurious stay and a wonderful town with ideal easy to reach locations in Cornwall. The rooms are beautifully appointed and generous in size. I’m only sorry we weren’t there when the whole garden was in bloom' - September 2020
