Chy-an-Gargo (Cornish for house on the cliff) is an amazing find in a secluded location, perfect for unwinding after a day revelling in the rolling surf on Sennen Beach below, or after accessing the wild beauty of the South West Coastal path which passes close by to this perfectly located property.

Living
A large hallway and handy boot room leads into the stunning open plan living area with white ceramic floors and under floor heating. Modern furniture, original artworks and a generously sized dining table set the scene. The dining area is set along the fully glazed frontage with views across Sennen Bay and azure blue seas below with French doors leading out to the garden. Cosy up in front of the wood-burner on the stylish sofas and relax, the house has all the mod-cons you could wish for; a TV with a DVD player, Bose sound system, an Apple speaker and numerous DVDs to snuggle up and watch, as well as full WiFi.
Eating
The kitchen is stunning with grey polished stone worktops and white drawer units, separated from the dining and living area by a large kitchen island. The Miele appliances, Le Creuset cookware and American fridge freezer, which has an ice making facility, are all top notch. If you don't feel like cooking why not book a private chef who can prepare a beach barbecue or a dinner party whilst you sit back and relax, taking in the superb sea views at any time of the year. Sleeping
There are four gorgeous bedrooms at Chy-an-Gargo, two of which are en suite and an additional family bathroom.
Soft grey carpeted stairs lead up to the piece de résistance, the master bedroom suite with its super king size bed and polished granite en suite wet-room. French doors lead out from here to a decked balcony which overlooks Sennen Cove, with beautiful views across Whitesand Bay and onwards to Cape Cornwall.
The three ground floor bedrooms have heated stone floors. Bedroom two features magnificent sea views with patio doors leading out to the cliff top terrace, a large en suite shower wet room and a super king 'zip and link' bed.
Bedroom three has views across Sennen Cove beach and Bedroom four looks out at the pretty garden with borders usually replete with exotic succulents. Bedroom three has a super king sized 'zip and link' bed that can be separated to create two single beds if preferred and Bedroom four two single beds.
Bathing
The large modern family bathroom is downstairs with a sumptuous bath and walk in shower. The heated stone flooring is extended through here. There is also an outside heated shower ideal for sluicing off the sand and salt after a day on the beach before barrelling into the hot tub just yards away….the perfect place to wind down and watch the sunset transform the colours of the sea, the surf and the distant headlands beyond.
Capacity
This luxury retreat in Cornwall is most comfortable for a maximum of 6 adults and 2 children as in one bedroom there are twin beds best suited for children, there are two large sofas and a large bean bag in the sitting room.
Garden
There is a large built-in granite barbecue, perfect for cooking up a feast! A garden suite is provided to lounge out on, perfect for a spot of al fresco eating watching the ebb and flow of the Atlantic below.
Seek soothing staycation moments in the bubbling hot tub, a dreamy spot to forget the world for a while overlooking rolling tides, or gazing toward the heavens. Sennen Cove (AONB) is part of the West Penwith Dark Sky Park and benefits from minimal light pollution. The night skies are bright, vast and genuinely breath-taking and the Milky Way is easily visible from February to September.
Parking
There is parking for three cars next to the house.

Chy-an-Gargo has WiFi so if you need to keep in touch with the outside world you can.
Dogs
Two well behaved dogs are welcome at Chy-an-Gargo. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per short break.
Please note the beach at Sennen Cove has seasonal dog restrictions.
In the Area
With pristine sand and turquoise water, head to Sennen Beach, one of only five beaches in Cornwall to receive a Seaside Award. Why not learn to surf at the renowned Sennen Surf School, voted one of the top 10 places to learn to surf in the UK, run by the ever enthusiastic Dave Muir and his superb team then after a day soaking up the rays and the surf on the beach head off to nearby Mousehole, Newlyn or St Ives to enjoy some delicious food in one of the many gorgeous restaurants.
Chy-An-Gargo benefits from its proximity to the South West Coastal path, one of the UK’s most iconic walks. Exploring the beautiful bays nearby such as Porthcurno, Porthgwarra, Pemberth Cove and Cape Cornwall is easy - all are walkable from Chy-An-Gargo. Maps are left in the property to help you explore - particularly recommended out of season when the weather and the sea combine with the wildness of this part of Cornwall to create the ideal ingredients for a remote and romantic getaway. The South West Coastal path passes the property at the top of the private lane by which it is accessed, just 100 metres from your front door.
The Minack Theatre is nearby too and this part of West Cornwall has some of the most beautiful and unspoilt coves to explore if you fancy exploring off the beaten track. If you want to keep things simple, stroll down to the local pub, the Old Success in Sennen, have dinner at Sennen Surf Lodge Restaurant then crash out ready for another heavenly day by the Cornish sea.
