For those seeking a peaceful, chilled out coastal escape, look no further than this gorgeous seaside retreat. Tucked away on the cliffs in Whitsand Bay, Esperance is a stunning homestay for couples or single people, seeking uninterrupted sea views in total luxury. 'Esperance' is named after the town in Western Australia, home to beautiful Cape Le Grand National Park which has some of the bluest, clearest water with kangaroos hopping on the beach and pure untouched natural beauty.
Step inside and you'll find stunning open-plan living that brings the outside in with floor-to-ceiling glass doors, and where comfort is the name of the game with sumptuous furnishings throughout. Outside, a bubbling hot tub and sun-drenched deck offers exceptional outside living, and it's dog friendly too!
Should you be able to pull yourself away from this seaside escape, there's plenty to see and do, whether it's sampling the finest seafood restaurants, hiking the South West Coastal Path or exploring the picturesque villages that line the south coast.
Living and eating
Esperance has a stunning open plan living area with kitchen, perfect for this coastal escape for two.
Taking inspiration from an Australian beach house, the room is dominated by the huge patio doors that offer 180-degree vista of the coast, sometimes seeing as far as the Lizard Point on a clear day. The super-comfy sofa is the perfect spot for sprawling on, whether it's escaping the heat of the day during summer with the doors wide open or hunkered up watching the spectacular ever-changing weather in winter with the flickering wood burner making things extra cosy. Two warm woollen blankets for outdoor use are provided for Star Gazing evenings.
The kitchen lies to the back of the room and comes complete with everything you might possibly need to rustle up feasts for your loved one. There's an electric oven and hob, Smeg fridge freezer, dishwasher and all the other equipment you might expect. To the front of the kitchen, you'll find the dining table and chairs, where oh-so-romantic meals are accompanied by the ever-present views, making memories you'll never forget.
In addition, a washing machine is kept in a cupboard outside next to the shed.
Sleeping and bathing
The bedroom is just a dream to escape to at the end of the day, where a blissful king size bed, enveloped in soft linens, bedding, cushions and throws ensure you'll drift off into the deepest of sleeps. In the morning, take your time and bask in the stunning sea views from the French windows, which can be opened during warmer months to let the fresh sea air gently wake you up. What could be better than breakfast in bed, watching the sun glisten on the sea and seagulls wheeling in the sky above? You'll also find a divine bathtub for two in the bedroom, where leisurely, bubbly ablutions can be taken à deux or blissfully alone with a good book.
Leading off from the bedroom is a beautiful en suite shower room with walk in shower with rose head, plus a beautiful stone wash basin on a bespoke cabinet. In addition, there's a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.
Outdoor space
Just wow! To the front of Esperance lies a gorgeously sun-soaked deck, complete with loungers, a dining table and chairs for alfresco meals and of course the lovely new modern hot tub. With that view, you'll never want to leave, whether its lazing on the loungers, lingering over breakfast watching the sun rise or relaxing in the bubbling tub, watching twilight turning to inky night and the stars appearing one by one.

In the Area
If you can pull yourself away from your seaside sojourn, there's plenty of things to see and do in this hidden corner of Cornwall. Boasting fantastic, unspoilt beaches, Whitsand Bay and Freathy are often overlooked and not so well known by visitors, so is it a perfect, peaceful spot. For places to eat, The Clifftop Café is only a 2 - 3-minute walk away for light lunches and sweet treats. Pop in the car (or get a taxi) to The Carew Arms in Antony village - a gastro pub with a café and farm shop, or The Devonport Inn in Kingsand. The Cross Keys Inn in Cawsand is also well worth visiting, with mouth-watering dishes and an inviting atmosphere. Take the passenger ferry at Cremyll to Royal William Yard where you'll find lots of restaurants and shops. Take time out to explore the nearby seaside villages of Kingsand, Cawsand, Looe and Polperro. Of course, the South West Coastal Path is on your doorstep too so is perfect for walking.
