Set deep into the dramatic cliffside of Whitsand Bay, we're delighted to welcome you to this decadent beauty. An oh-so-grown up retreat for two, this is a place for serious romantics that's just a short walk from a gorgeous, sandy, dog friendly beach.
Step inside and you'll find rich, luxurious interiors that are hand-crafted and bespoke, where plush velvets, blackened steel, reclaimed wooden floors and poured concrete add a tacticity to the space. The crowning glory however is the immense 180-degree views over the sea, where every second of the day is spectacular, from dawn to dusk.
Sleeping up to two lucky people and a dog (two on request), this is a fabulous couple's getaway, an escape from the everyday where the healing properties of the sea twinned with the fabulously warm embrace of Kowetha will leave you fully relaxed and recharged.
Nestled within glorious Whitsand Bay, this extraordinary retreat is perfect for exploring the quieter corner of southeast Cornwall, whether it's walking the South West Coastal Path, enjoying the sandy beach below, exploring the pretty coastal towns or experiencing the fabulous eateries that dot the area.
Living and eating
The chic, richly coloured open plan living space is a sumptuous space with reclaimed wooden vintage floor, where darker interiors let the panoramic sea views from the glass doors take centre stage. At the centre, you'll find a cosy moss-green velvet sofa, just made for snuggling up on, and a fabulous wood burner for cooler days - a fabulous spot for grabbing blankets, making hot toddies, and sitting back and watch the majesty of a passing storm. On summer days, open the doors to let the soft sea breeze drift through, and the sound of the waves help you drift off into an afternoon snooze. To the back, we just love the library with shelving and the antique library ladder, where you'll find a collection of books and logs for the wood burner too. There's also a stylishly hidden away Smart TV for tranquil evenings in watching your favourite box set.
To one side lies the kitchen, immensely chic with bespoke blackened steel cabinets bedecked with brass handles and knobs, with poured concrete countertops. Although compact, it has everything to hand to create meals for your beau, with an induction hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, small fridge freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and the all-important coffee machine. To the back of the room lies a perfectly bijou dining table for two- just darling!
You'll find the TV tucked away in a box in the kitchen beside the work bench, where it is mounted for you to move.
Sleeping and bathing
If you're looking for a dreamy, oh-so-romantic seaside setting to lay your head down at night, look no further than this beautiful room, where the comfiest king-sized bed with silk and cashmere mattress awaits, swathed in luxurious linens, luxurious cloud-soft bedding (that's made from recycled ocean plastic from British company Sirimiri) and cosy throws and pillows.
After a blissful nights' sleep, awake to uninterrupted sea views through the glass doors that open on to the balcony, whilst a deep soak in the astonishing copper bath for two is a lovely way to wind down at night, gazing out over the moonlit sea. Custom fabricated adjustable steel shutters bring privacy when needed, and there's plenty of built-in cupboards to stow away belongs. Inglenook bedside tables are handy for a nightcap or a morning cup of tea.
In addition, there's an attractive separate shower room with large walk-in shower and gorgeous handmade Moroccan tiles - we just love the copper heated rail to keep towels warm and soft, ready for when you step out after a morning's ablutions, and the attractive brick floor.
Outdoor space
With heavenly sea views in every direction, Kowetha's sun-soaked terrace is a blissful spot for passing the hours of your holiday. With two loungers, fabulous swinging chair and an oak bench seat, there's spots for lounging, whilst an outside dining table and chairs with an electric barbeque is just perfect for meals alfresco. Kowetha has a generous overhang roof which provides welcome shade on hot summer days - so no need to escape when it gets hot, and there's an outdoor shower too for washing off sandy toes and paws. Of course, the pièce de resistance has to be the bubbling hot tub, heated to a perfect 37-38 degrees - no better spot can be found for leaning back and star gazing as the velvet night creeps in after a glorious sunset.

In the Area
You may never wish to even leave this heavenly homestay, however if you yearn to explore further afield there's plenty of things to see and do in Kowetha's beautiful corner of the world. When the tide is out, the Cabin is just a few minutes' walk down a footpath to a virtually private section of sandy beach great for dog walks or, for the more adventurous, surfing and paddleboarding. Promising a wildly rugged coastline and unspoilt beaches, Whitsand Bay and Freathy are lesser-known treasures just waiting to be uncovered. This allows for clifftop wandering to relish peaceful ocean vistas and moments of quietude in Cornwall's secret beauty spots. Discover unique eateries in the local area, with The Clifftop Café only a short walk away, promising a varied menu and breath-taking views. Head to The Carew Arms in Antony village, well worth a short trip in the car to indulge at this gastro pub with a café and farm shop or explore The Devonport Inn in Kingsand. For a spontaneous day out, ride the passenger ferry at Cremyll to Royal William Yard where you'll discover an array of cafés, restaurants, and boutique stores. Whether you plan to uncover the nearby seaside villages of Kingsand, Cawsand, Looe and Polperro, or desire to stroll the South West Coastal Path, Kowetha is perfectly set to venture across the wild beauty of South Cornwall.
