Welcome to paradise! This corker of a retreat is a super-luxe cabin, perched high above spectacular Whitsand Bay in Cornwall. With views to die for, this is the ultimate beach side escape, perfect for families or couples alike and it's dog friendly too. With soft wood throughout, underfloor heating to keep toes warm in winter months, a wood burning stove, an open-plan terrace to make the most of the views and incredibly chic décor, you'll never want to leave.

Living and eating

The stunning open-plan living space certainly makes the most of the unique views, with bi-fold glass doors that open out on to the large terrace overlooking the sea. High, vaulted ceilings, rugged wooden walls and flooring add to the naturally nautical feel, whilst the wood burner, underfloor heating, comfy seating and soft lighting add cosiness for winter months, making this a perfect retreat all year around.

The fab kitchen area is equipped with everything you'll need to rustle up a feast or two; we love the vintage feel here with its classic Robert's radio and baby-blue 50's-style fridge freezer. But don't worry - all the mod cons are here too including a Nespresso coffee machine. Dining is super-easy too; the modern table and chairs lie next to the kitchen - perfect for laid back lunches and decadent dinners.

Sleeping four, there are two stunning bedrooms. The master en suite bedroom is totally gorgeous, with a king size four-poster bed and industrial-style glass doors that open out onto a courtyard to the back of the property. The high ceiling and warm wood walls add a lightness to the room, ensuring a blissful nights' sleep. The pretty second en suite bedroom is a zip and link, meaning it can either be a comfy super-king or made into twins and has glass doors that open on to the back courtyard. Both rooms are uniquely decorated and have comfy beds, sumptuous linens and beautiful décor.

Additionally, there's a further bedroom with bunk beds - accessed via the second bedroom. Please note that there is an area directly behind the bunk beds which is reached by rope ladder. Due to the height of the access, care should be taken, especially if you have young children. If you would like to use this additional space, please get in touch.

There are two en suite shower rooms at Little Sur. One is fabulously monochrome with black and white tiles, large walk-in shower and brilliant ladder-style towel rail. The other shower room (shared by the double/twin and bunk bed room) has vintage-style white tiles, large walk-in shower and heated towel rail. Both come with sumptuous toiletries and fluffy towels.

Outside space

With views to die for, Little Sur certainly makes the most of the outdoor space with a huge terrace overlooking the sea - a real sun trap in summer. Watch the early morning sun glitter on the sea, spend long, lazy afternoons on the sun loungers, gazing at the sea as the tide roll in and out. Dine al fresco with a seafood barbeque, watching the sun set over the horizon. Or for something extra-special, wrap up in blankets on a clear night and star gaze, with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. Moments like these become memories that last forever.

There is a designated parking space for one car to the front of Little Sur with steps leading up to the property, there is additional on-road parking nearby.

Head to the Devonport Inn in Kingsand for excellent food and fab local beer. The Carew Arms in Antony Village is also well worth a visit and has a farm shop and café too. For something special head to The View, perched on the cliffs of Whitsand Bay and with fish and seafood a real speciality.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Little Sur:

Warm and cosy and a delight to stay in. Well equipped and the welcome pack was much appreciated.

A fabulous property with amazing views out to sea. We really enjoyed watching the sea from the deck and Freathy beach is gorgeous . The property is beautifully decorated and fully kitted out with everything you might need for a week. Luxury welcome hamper was much appreciated, thank you

Amazing location with a breathtaking view over Whitsand Bay that we enjoyed in every weather. The best feeling was to wake up to the sound of waves, fresh sea breeze and indulge in breakfast or lunch on the house terrace with an uninterrupted sea view. Sunshine, swim and surfing were exactly the remedy we needed after a year of lockdown.

Such a perfect break away!

Beautiful property with stunning views !

Beautiful location, cosy yet sophisticated interiors with a hint of luxury. You won't want to leave, just sit and admire the view out to see for instant calmness and serenity!

We have driven the Big Sur and now stayed at Little Sur. The view from Little Sur reminded us so much of our California road trip, simply stunning. Little Sur has everything you could possibly need and is finished to such a high standard. We didn't want to leave!

Wonderful place to stay with amazing views

The cottage was in a lovely location, with wonderful views of the sea. It was very well equipped and beautifully furnished. It was fabulous to sit in the big window with the rain pouring down outside, enjoying the stormy sea with a warm log burning stove next to us.

Fantastic location, wonderful views, beautifully finished property, the perfect long weekend retreat!

Highly recommended, beautiful location and fabulous place to have a week away from it all

'Fantastic stay at Little Sur. Tidy and cosy and spotlessly clean. The welcome hamper was a treat. We had incredible weather with the sunny days and a calm sea. Great walks to the beach and down the bluff. Can't wait to return to this magical spot on the Cornwall Coast. Thank you'- November 2021

'Amazing view, house and hamper - much appreciated. The view even works when the weather doesn't. Met the owners, they are lovely and chatty. Our top tips: Zinn's coffee van by the fort has lovely coffee and bakes, owner is lovely and friendly. Pre-order a seafood platter from Pengellys in Looe, scrumptious seafood. Beautiful walk from Polperro to Polkerris, great restaurant but make sure you bring snacks! Talland Bay has an amazing cafe with delicious baguettes and brownies. Great crabs from Polruan, we caught 23! Lovely deli next to the Jolly Sailor in Looe (right side of the river). It was a beautiful birthday/summer stay. Thank you.' - August 2021

'Little Sur is even more stunning in person than the pictures suggest. The view is unbelievable, with the terrace being a truly magical and relaxing spot to chill out on throughout the day and into the evening. The bedrooms were more spacious than i anticipated from the pictures, and the living area was really comfortable and perfect for cosy evenings in. The beach which is accessed via a steep coastal walk is really large and beautiful, with a cute little cafe and cool surf school' - September 2020

'Excellent location with stunning views ... great for walking, competent cyclists (tons of hills) and low key escapism' - August 2020

'Wow!! If you're reading this we don't need to tell you about the view, but it is sensational in all weathers. We've had rain, hail & sun and the view has handled them all. Kingsand & Cawsand are both quaint little places and are quiet at this time of the year. We had a good lunch in the Devonport Inn and The Bay, but I would recommend stocking up and spending as much time as possible admiring the view. We will definitely be back!! Make sure you check the tide times before heading to the beaches - high tide is high!' - March 2020

'No better place to see in the new decade. Top view!' - January 2020
