Verdun was everything I was hoping it to be. Relaxing with great views and in comfort. Could not have asked for more. A great walk to Rame Heead along the coast and gave much needed exercise, followed by relaxation. I will miss the view.

This is a stunning getaway with every detail perfectly crafted. This cabin has everything you need - and everything you didn’t know you needed! Expertly designed and Tina is on hand to share knowledge and is extremely accommodating. Gorgeous location, flawless views whether it’s gloomy and moody or continuous sunshine. We can’t wait to book our next stay.

Fantastic spot right on the coast, superb views. Parking and location make it one of the best spots in Whitsand. Great fireworks for New Year across the bay.

The chalet has the most amazing views, we wasted hours watching the rain and sun come over the ocean! The views of the sunset from the hot tub were absolutely stunning! The interior was modern with a little rustic nautical twist. Everything we needed and more was supplied, every eventually thought of. Location was perfect for us, places around to walk to for a bite to eat or a drink or 2. A fabulous place to do absolutely nothing! And watch the world go by. Just what we needed

Wow, an amazing week to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We had brilliant weather all week. Verdun is amazing, with the hot tub where we watched the stars and the sea. Would love to come again.

We had such a lovely stay at Verdun. The weather was great, the sunsets superb and the accommodation just what we needed, it was so relaxing. Tina the host was so nice and was there if you needed anything.

Wow wow wow! The most amazing place to stay. The interior is very well done everything you need is provided and all at the highest quality. Outside, a great deck area with beautiful sea views with a perfect sun house at the top of the garden to spend evenings once the sun goes down. This is a place we will keep coming back to.

What an amazing time we have had. Verdun is a very special place. Breakfast at The Old Bakery in Kingsand is a real treat as are the amazing cakes and breads. Long walks everyday has been a highlight. Our paradise being the walk to St Michaels Chapel- stunning. We will miss the hot tub, but we are heading back to Hertfordshire with BIG smiles and so many wonderful memories. Thank you Tina.

As the first stop of our honeymoon. It was misty and late. Tina kept tabs on our progress to make sure we arrived safely. Once in, we noticed a lovely hamper filled with goodies (Thank you Tina). The next morning we awoke to some absolutely amazing views and increadible weather. The great weather lasted our entre trip. We enjoyed many walks on the beach with our dog & exploring the surrounding area. The salty dog is lovely, very dog friendly - well worth a visit. We also loved our day out in looe.

A lovely relaxed feeling at this chalet. Lovely energies and the most amazing view. Would highly recommend. It is perfect for reflecting and healing. We loved all the little clues of your life together with Terry. What a beautiful lodge. I can feel the love from here. Ronnie loved it here too Thank you for allowing dogs we noticed that it is a very dog friendly area what a bonus. I feel sure this will be the first of many visits. We feel exceptionally blessed to have found this heaven on earth.

We are really sad to leave this slice of heaven, and we wished for time to slow down. The view is probably the best we've ever had from a holiday property and the house has provided everything we could possibly need. We divided our time between the beach and the garden. The weather was glorious sunshine all weekwith a lovely sea breeze most of the time. We would love to return in the future.

A beautiful property in a fantastic location. The extra facilities in the garden were a real bonus with stunning views out to sea from the front.

Verdun is just perfect. Beautifully finished and everything you could ever need. After postponing our initial booking for a year, we have been treated with some fine weather for the most part. Currently sitting here on our last evening on the sun deck at the top with drinks in hand and the sun glistening on the sea. Hopefully we will be back and will certainly look to stay at Verdun again. You’d be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location. The views were amazing. The cottage itself is also of a very high standard and very well maintained. A perfect break from reality!

Truly magical, everything about Verdun is beautiful

Had a very relaxing stay at this lovely comfortable retreat with its lovely views down the coast. We especially appreciated the lovely welcome hamper and the summerhouse with its own fridge keeping the wine nicely chilled for the evening sunset. We went down to the beach on several occasions which was lovely with a steep climb back up which certainly got the heart thumping. We'd definitely recommend Verdun and boutique retreats where you know you'll get a very nice retreat.

Verdun is a space that has been created from love and is cared for lovingly. It is such a beautiful space. Tina was wonderful - so helpful. There to meet us, she showed us round. There were so many small touches that shifted it from a rental space to feeling like home while we were there. It's a little piece of blissfulness and yumminess.

Verdun is a special place, stylish, chic and modern with an industrial twist.The weather wasn't on our side at all but one sunny day out of the 5 allowed us to take up surfing at Adventure Bay Surfing School- highly recommend! Tina couldn't have been better, the hamper of delights and fresh flowers were a beautiful touch. Thank you again.

You can’t improve on perfection.

Amazing place to celebrate our honeymoon, after covid postponed our wedding in 2020. We were on the lookout for a place that simply was amazing. This place certainly was. Views are out of this world. First time we have enjoyed simply just chilling at our accomodation. The weather was hot and sunny so managed to eat at every table. Sunsets in the hot tub or just relaxing in the summerhouse. Toby our 15month old cocker spaniel also loved it. Thank you.

Absolutely beautiful, this property had it all, the house was furnished to the highest standards and nothing was forgotten, fresh flowers, a welcome hamper and a lovely phone call from Tina when we arrived. The little house at the top of the garden was wonderful, with its own fridge and blankets and an incredible view. The fire pit was a lovely addition to the house. I can’t recommend it enough.

Lovely luxury property. Very well equipped. Fabulous view. Hot tub is excellent and very private.I would definitely recommend this as a luxury retreat. Beach is a short walk away down the cliff - quite steep but worth the climb.

A truly unique retreat to escape normality. Situated in the cliff tops with amazing sea views, this chalet has been beautifully decorated with attention to every detail. The hot tub, fire pit, summer house and offerings are fantastic and it was my favourite weekend away. Tina was so helpful and welcoming, it couldn't be better.

Verdun is a simply perfect retreat. Absolutely everything has been considered to ensure guests have the most wonderful stay. Tina, the host, has maximised the utterly jaw dropping views while also attending to detail (such as cosy throws in the summer house or the very well equipped kitchen). We didn’t want to leave but have the most fantastic memories to cherish.

Verdun is the Mary Poppins of Boutique Retreats . . . Practically perfect in every way, we stayed the first week of March 2020, and although the weather was poor Verdun was perfect. The position on top of the cliff has views which are hard to beat and it is a great place to just come and while away the hours looking at the sea and the stars. Tina is the perfect host, we will be back.

Lovely accommodation that was very well equipped, where we experienced a relaxing break even with Storm Dennis blowing off the sea. The nearby beaches were just what we needed and were lovely to take the dog to. The hot tub was a great place to look at the stars. The owner was also very helpful throughout our stay.

I booked this as a surprise for my husbands birthday, we were after a chilled break somewhere we could switch off and relax and this was exactly what we got. The weather was pretty horrendous for the whole week but that didn't stop us relaxing listening to the hale stones, rain and watching the waves through the big lounge floor to ceiling windows was quite something. We also got to see a couple of beautiful sunsets which Tina had told us about. Overall the place is absolutely perfect there was nothing that we needed and couldn't find in the kitchen or in the whole place, everything has been covered. Tina had recommended we maybe think about doing an online shop for our arrival which i did and bless her she even took the delivery and packed it all away I loved the smell throughout the place from the reed diffusers that i came straight home and ordered some ;-) Thank you for such a wonderful break xx

Our Holiday felt like a dream come true, the accomodation looked amazing in the pictures but was better in real life, it rained for the majority of the stay but this really did not matter as this is the perfect place to stop, relax and unwind, Could not reccomend this enough already looking to rebook for next year.

'What a place to stay! Verdun is small and cosy but packed with 5 star luxuries and character. Everywhere you look you see a different view. This was a delayed 50th Birthday for Steve from October and we were so grateful to have been able to re-book. We have had a lovely few days of relaxing. We even caught the bus to Cremyll and then the ferry to Plymouth. Polperro and Looe were lovely, also. Tina is an excellent host, nothing is too much trouble.
