Welcome to Verdun, a true tiny piece of paradise made for couples wanting a seaside escape away from it all. With beautifully considered interiors, underfloor heating throughout and in muted shades of creamy whites and greys, this is a love pad for stylish couples wanting a blissful coastal home, complete with hot tub, fire pit, decking and floor-to-ceiling glass windows - plus it's dog friendly too.
Living and eating

The stunning dining and living area is bijoux and beautiful, with the fully-equipped kitchen to the back and the dining area and living space to the front to make the most of the sea views. In the seating area, there's a Loaf sofa and chair, complete with coffee table, situated close to the floor-to-ceiling glass doors - cosy and warm in winter, or pulled back and open in summer. In addition, there's Sky TV and sound system to entertain when the sun sets. Indoor meals can be taken at the cute poseur table and chairs. The galley-style kitchen comes complete with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, retro-style fridge-freezer, Dualit coffee machine and all the other equipment you might need to rustle up romantic meals for two. In addition, you'll find a fabulous summer house at the top of the garden, complete with super-sweet retro fridge, sink with running water, kettle (perfect for afternoon tea) and two comfy seats looking out over the far-reaching sea and countryside views.

Sleeping and bathing

The stunning en suite bedroom lies through industrial-style glass doors which let in loads of light and has a sumptuous king size bed swathed in luxurious French linens, throws and cushions. In addition, there's an eye-catching tall boy and wardrobe offering plenty of storage. The en suite has a walk-in rainfall shower, gorgeous stone sink and heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

To make the most of the epic views, there's an immense wooden deck that extends out towards the sea, housing two easy loungers for sunny afternoons, Weber three burner gas barbeque and a table and four chairs - ideal for meals with a view. Take the steps to the side of the property that lead to a further garden; the middle level has a table and chairs for a spot of alfresco dining and a fire pit (with plenty of forks for roasting marshmallows) and a chestnut roaster, ending with a fabulous wooden top deck complete with loungers, wooden hot tub, summer house and outdoor shower.

Parking

There is private parking for one car with additional parking in the layby 20 yards away.

Due to the cliffside location, Verdun is suitable for babes in arms only. A travel cot and high chair are available on request (please bring your own bedding for the travel cot).

Reviews

'There is nothing I can say that hasn't already been said. We have had an idyllic four day honeymoon here at Verdun. It is beautiful, cosy, superbly appointed and with views to die for. Breakfast was outside everyday - we were so very lucky with the weather! Four days were not long enough, we shall definitely be back!' - July 2019

'Thank you for allowing us to stay at Verdun. This house is stunning and the garden is absolutely wonderful, just perfect for our little honeymoon without the children! The location is ideal for walks on the beach, Millie (the dog) loved her first ever visit to the beach! And the views are stunning. Thank you again, we will definitely be back to Verdun!' - June 2019

'It has been an absolute honour to stay here for three special nights. We have been captivated by the absolutely epic views and it has given us much needed reflective time after our wedding last week. We have been impressed at all the especially thought-out details you have put into this place and have loved barbequing at the sunset perch in the divine summer house. Strangely, one of the things I have enjoyed the most has been washing our clothes and hanging them out to dry in the fresh sea breeze. As we live in London it is a pure luxury to have clothes smelling of nothing but sweet English Channel winds! Of course, the walks, swims, hot tubbing, bird watching and long lie in has also been amazing. We are now fully rested and very much ready to face reality!' - June 2019

'Thank you so much for welcoming us to stay in your beautiful Verdun. We could not have asked for a more amazing mini-moon location - everything has been so perfect. The memories we take home with us are precious and will be life-long. "For this is my Eden, and I'm not alone. For this is my Cornwall and this is my home". Thank you!' - May 2019

'What a beautiful little gem Verdun is. We had absolutely fallen for your gorgeous home before arrival and it didn't disappoint. We have had the most relaxing and tranquil week here celebrating our honeymoon... thank you so much and we hope to come back for our anniversary!' - May 2019
