With five exquisite bedrooms (two en suite and one with easy access), spectacular living spaces and a fab kitchen that opens out into the garden, this is a laid-back pad whilst the bubbling hot tub and outside entertainment area is just perfect for celebratory gatherings.

Dog friendly and within a short walk of a sandy beach and places to eat and drink, this wonderful homestay lies in Widemouth Bay and is a perfect base from which to explore with Bude, Boscastle, Trebarwith Strand and Hartland Heritage Coast just a short drive away.

Living

In calming tones of blue and white, the gorgeous sitting room is the perfect space to come together, whether it's after a busy day exploring the coast, a relaxing day on the beach or opening presents on Christmas day. Nestled around the wood burner are three velvet sofas, adorned with cushions and throws, perfect for cosying up on a winter's day, whilst bi-fold glass doors open on to the garden, making this a shady spot to enjoy the sea breeze on a hot summer's day. In addition, there's a Smart TV for film nights together and an iPod docking station to play your favourite tunes and to create the playlist for your holiday.

You'll also discover a cosy snug complete with Smart TV and a PlayStation, perfect for youngsters or those seeking a quiet spot to themselves.

Eating

The stunning kitchen, gorgeously eye-catching in grey and cream, is just a dream for the avid cook. Bi-fold doors open out on to the garden with far-reaching sea views, letting in plenty of light, whilst the smart white cabinets and striking black worktops are home to all the equipment you need to rustle up meals. There's an induction hob, multifunction oven/microwave, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and all the other essentials including a Nespresso coffee machine. The central island is just perfect for prepping whilst three stalls are perfect for those wanting to keep the chef company as they cook!

In the kitchen you'll find a dining table for six, whilst the more formal dining room has an impressive wooden table with enough seating for ten - perfect for dinner parties and celebrations.

In addition, there's a utility room which is home to the washing machine and tumble dryer.

Sleeping and bathing

There are five chic, spacious bedrooms to choose from in this lovely seaside home.

The gorgeous master bedroom lies on the first floor and is en suite. With a gorgeous Juliet balcony overlooking the coastline, double doors can be opened to let the gentle sea breeze waft through on summery days, whilst it's oh-so-dramatic for storm watching in bed! The sumptuous king-sized bed is just made for long lie ins, whilst there's a chest of drawers and hanging space for clothes, plus a Smart TV and dressing table too. The en suite is a handy shower room, for wake-me-up ablutions.

In addition, there is a further king-sized en suite bedroom on the first floor, with a stunning wooden bed adorned with throws and cushions, Juliet balcony, hanging space for clothes, a Smart TV and bedside tables. The en suite for this room is also a shower room.

Next, there's a charming twin bedroom with hanging space, bedside tables, a chest of drawers and a Smart TV - this room is perfect for little ones or friends staying together, plus there's a further double bedroom with a dressing table, hanging space and bedside tables. There's also a family bathroom on the first floor, complete with bath and shower.

On the ground floor you'll find the final bedroom with a zip and link bed, that can be made-up as a king size or into twin beds. This lovely room has a wardrobe, bedside tables, a chest of drawers plus a TV with DVD player. Being on the ground floor, this room would be perfect for those with limited ability and has direct access outside, plus there is a wet room with shower right next door.

All the beds come swathed in luxurious linens, sumptuous bedding and cosy throws and cushions, whilst the showers and bathroom have heated rails to ensure towels are kept warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

The fabulous garden has a sun-soaked terrace leading out from the sitting room and is the perfect spot for relaxing on a hot summer's day. Here you'll find the alfresco dining area with table and chairs plus a bench with a fire pit, coffee table and barbeque oven with prep area plus an outside entertainment area. For the ultimate in relaxation there's the bubbling wood-fired hot tub, whilst there's also a second seating area with sea views. There's a handy outdoor shower too, for washing sandy toes and muddy paws.

Parking

There is plenty of private, off-road parking for four cars.

Babies and children

In the Area

Set close to the beach in Widemouth Bay, you're just a short walk from the wide, sandy beach lined with rock pools, just waiting to be explored. A firm favourite with surfers, it's a great beach for both beginners and experienced alike, and there's some great surf schools should you need some lessons. The southern end of the beach (near Black Rock) is dog friendly all year, whilst the South West Coastal Path, which runs just next to the beach, is a fabulous route for walks - the path to Bude being especially good for children and dogs. You're also within walking distance of a great pub too - the Bay View inn - whilst there's cafes galore to sample. Pop in the car and head further afield to discover Boscastle, Tintagel, Trebarwith Strand, Port Isaac and Padstow, whilst head east to Bude and across the border into Devon. Head inland for a change of scenery and you're not far from wild and beautiful Dartmoor and the market towns of Tavistock and Okehampton.

Sea views, beautiful interiors and a bubbling hot tub await at our exquisite dog friendly homestay for ten on the North Cornish coast.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Dune:

Lovely property in an ideal location for the beach.

Gorgeous house, lots of things to do both at the house and in the surrounding areas and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy- (is bigger than the photos portray!) Beautifully finished decor!

We had such an amazing time staying in Dune. Our dogs had the most amazing time in both the house and on the beach. Thank you for sharing such a special house with us.

Fantastic place to say with friends for a special occasion.

What a great house with fantastic amenities. The hot tub was well used and lots of games and walks to the beach. Can recommend 'The Mermaid' for fish and chips (worth the wait) and 'Widemouth Manor' for a Sunday roast. Great weekend for games around the table with lots of competition! Thank you.

Wonderful house in perfect location. Outside space was particularly amazing. 10/10

Absolutely stunning retreat. Thank you, thank you, thank you for another incredible stay! Yet again, Dune did not disappoint. Its really beginning to feel like a home from home for us. We settled straight back in to spending quality family time together… having BBQs, playing games in the dining room and at the beach! The weather has been amazing. Thank you for our welcome gifts - such a lovely touch. Ps would recommend The Bank at Bude for a tapas meal. See you again soon!

Great place to stay for families and small groups, excellent spaces and amenities in the house. Superb enclosed garden with the most amazing views. Widemouth Bay is a short walk away, two cafes offering breakfasts, snacks and coffee. The Bay is excellent for dog walking, children playing and stunning views. Great surf and lessons available for novice surfers. Superb holiday, didn’t want to leave.

This was our first visit and yet again we were delighted with the house and the location. The barbecue and hot tub have been a great success! We have been blessed with fine weather, enjoying the beach daily, along with early swims in the sea pool in Bude each morning. We hope we'll be able to return next year.

Dune is an outstanding property - the location is wonderful being so near to the beach and yet in a very quiet cut de sac. The outdoor entertaining space is a big plus especially with a party of ten and two dogs and the garden has great views of the coast.

It’s in an absolutely excellent location.

Great home and location. Loved the beach, the view and costal hikes. Will definitely come back to Cornwall!

Enjoyable stay. Location is very good and so is the house. Its quiet but accessible to everything. The walks were fantastic. Thank you.

This weeks holiday was for Kaye and Malcs 25th wedding anniversary and what a way to celebrate! Absolutely wonderful house. Perfect location for both an early/late swim and for everything around this part of Cornwall. Must say we've spent more time sitting in the garden looking out to sea, playing games and just enjoying life! Thank you for sharing this fab house and please keep the standard up as there was nothing to criticise at all - perfect in every way.

We've had the most wonderful time! Amazing house, stunning views, great company with beautiful weather too! Just blessed.

What a fabulous home! Great location too. We had a gorgeous mini break and hope to make it back for a full week next Summer. Thank you for our lovely welcome treats too.

Had the best time at wonderful Dune, so much so, we were lucky enough to extend our stay. So much to explore, the house is a great central hub. Will hopefully be back!

The house was every bit as impressive as the photos suggested. Great views from the house down to the bay. Really well equipped for bad weather days. Good wifi. A wonderful place to stay

Excellent location and property. Would definitely recommend a stay here. Ideal for local beach walk with dog. Garden is even bigger than the photos suggest. Hot tub and outdoor area great.

It really was superb.

Fantastic dog friendly, luxury property. On the doorstep to one of the best dog friendly beaches in Cornwall.

Great place to holiday - short walk to beach, perfect location, great view. This house is one of the nicest we have ever stayed in with plenty of room to spread out. Very impressive.

We had a lovely break here. Relaxing and quiet. Great for walking and for sundowners on the beach. (take you’re own)

A great beach house with great facilities. Close to the beautiful Widemouth Bay Beach. Loved it.
