Boasting endless cosy living spaces, open-plan dining and five beautiful bedrooms, Pomera is a dream for multi-generational staycations and celebratory soirees with friends. Immerse yourself in a world of calm as you step into the expansive garden, with a soul-soothing wellness area that beckons for restorative days in the sauna, and starlit nights in the wood-fired hot tub. An expansive 50-meter natural swimming lake offers revitalising dips from day to dusk on blue-sky days. For added entertainment, enjoy movie nights in the cinema room, while a dedicated games room complete with a bar invites friendly rivalry. With sustainability at the core of its design, Pomera has undergone a full eco-renovation, with solar and battery storage, a heat recovery system, ground source heating and rainwater harvesting making this period property a fully zero-carbon home. Our luxury retreat is also enveloped by 15 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland, with over 1,500 newly planted native trees lying just beyond the lake. Uncover endless opportunities for adventure and indulgence, with the coast and country both within easy reach for golden-sand beaches, dramatic clifftop and wild moorland trails and Michelin-praised dining. Pomera offers a dreamy base for coastal escapes and countryside wanders on the border of North Devon and Cornwall.

Living

Discover endless spaces to unwind at Pomera, with underfloor heating throughout. Awash with natural light, the sitting room beckons for moments of bliss, with two plush sofas in soft neutral tones and an armchair perfectly positioned beside a large sash window. Curl up with your latest page-turner as the warmth of the glowing wood burner embraces the room. You'll also find a Smart TV for unwinding with your favourite films and series.

Across the hall, an inviting cinema room is drenched in rich earthy tones. Sink into the sumptuous sofas or comforting bean bag, and relish unforgettable movie nights with the projector and 92" screen, which offers little ones an equally cosy corner to curl up after adventure-filled days.

In addition, a games room, accessed from outside, offers a playful hideout for all ages, with table tennis and dart board, plus a bar and cosy seating area with a Smart TV. You'll also find a wireless speaker for soundtracking your favourite retreat playlists.

Eating and dining

Seamlessly blending open plan living with thoughtfully curated dining spaces, uncover the culinary heart of Pomera. At its centre, a beautifully bespoke Shaker style kitchen awaits in soft swathes of blue. On the island, four bar stools rest opposite a large, vented Neff induction hob, encouraging relaxed conversation as cooking unfolds. The spacious kitchen is well-equipped, with a Neff double oven, integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher and a Quooker tap. For aromatic blends, savour unhurried mornings with a fresh brew from the cafetiere or Moka pot. There's also a washing machine and tumble dryer within the utility room.

From pared-back brunches to lingering suppers, a large farmhouse-style dining table invites pauses of togetherness, with plenty of seating for up to ten. Floor-to-ceiling windows and doors bathe the space in light and unveil breathtaking views across the garden and rolling hills, inviting the outside in during the warmer months.

As dusk falls, retreat to the relaxed living space for fireside tipples, where two comfortable sofas and a sumptuous armchair nestle beside the wood burning stove, welcoming serene spells of shared calm. You'll also find a variety of tales within the well-stocked bookcase, promising cosy, story-filled nights into the late hours.

Sleeping and bathing

Five bedrooms await at Pomera, four of which reside on the first floor.

Encompassing the entire second floor, the master bedroom invites hushed moments with its super king bed, chaise longue, and two sweet reading nooks that overlook the swimming lake. For stowing belongings, there are two chests of drawers, two large, fitted wardrobes with ample hanging space, and a vanity table perfect for pampering in the glow of the morning sun. Beyond the bedroom lies the spacious ensuite, bathed in light with a far-reaching outlook across the garden. Savour unhurried mornings beneath the rainfall shower and indulgent evening soaks in the freestanding slipper bath, with dual sinks and heated towel rails for added comfort.

With high ceilings and a feature fireplace, the second bedroom exudes Victorian charm. Lingering lie-ins are elevated by spellbinding garden views towards the private swimming lake, with a super king bed cocooned in cushions and throws in soft shades of pink and blue. Begin your day with calming morning rituals at the vanity desk, with an additional mirror thoughtfully positioned above the antique marble-topped chest of drawers.

Promising equally striking vistas across the lake, the third bedroom welcomes heavenly slumber with a king-size bed dressed in cloud-soft linens and styled in soothing shades of blue, complementing the abstract artwork. A large mirror rests above the feature fireplace, accompanied by a chest of drawers and a hanging ladder, offering ample space to store your belongings.

Styled in a lullaby of soft blush and dreamy blue, the fourth bedroom presents a super king bed with a timeless striped headboard, draped in the finest linens. A Pooky lamp sits elegantly beside a sumptuous chaise, with a chest of drawers and a hanging ladder offering ample room for beautifully organised belongings.

A darling space to unwind, the fifth bedroom is home to a sumptuous zip-and-link super king bed, framed by a playful striped backdrop in gentle blush hues. At one end, an antique chest of drawers offers elegant storage, while at the other, a cosy armchair sits beside a wall hung mirror and hanging ladder for tranquil repose.

Step into the first family bathroom, wrapped in powder pink walls and home to a large freestanding bath which sits proudly before a large window with mesmerising views across the natural swimming lake. Promising spa-like serenity, you'll also find a separate shower for refreshing rainfall reveries. A second family bathroom, complete with a bath and separate shower, adds a touch of luxury and welcome convenience, perfect for families with young children. Both bathrooms feature heated towel rails, ensuring towels remain warm and cloud-soft.

Downstairs, you'll find an additional toilet beside the utility room. There's also a shower for refreshing moments after rejuvenating dips in the swimming lake.
