For sheer relaxation, make yourself at home within its sumptuous cocoon, savouring divine interiors bathed in soothing tones and adorned with organic details. Brimming with cosy corners and contemporary comforts, it sets the dreamiest scene for rural reveries. From idyllic moments bathing in the hot tub, to heavenly relaxation in front of the fire, to spectacular sundowners on the treetop terrace, pure magic resides here.
Living
In a timeless design, the open-plan living area contains a tranquil sanctuary with a lounge, kitchen, and dining area. A utopia of calm, it presents a cosy sofa and armchair ensemble gathered around a coffee table and set in front of a warming wood burning stove. Light-filled and airy, the room's soft hues and wooden details create a cool, relaxed space to recline in summer, and an ambient, cosy haven in winter for year-round tranquillity. To set the perfect soundtrack to your stay, a DAB radio and Sonos sound system are provided, while for nights of action, adventure and romance on the screen, there is a TV with access to streaming services.
Eating and dining
Laying a dreamy scene for lingering breakfasts and flavoursome dinners is Bluebell's open-plan kitchen and dining area. With everything you need for curating delicious meals, the kitchen features sage green units, paired with attractive open shelves and stylish lighting. At the centre of the room, a wood kitchen island with an inbuilt wine rack and drawers takes pride of place, coupled with wicker breakfast bar chairs topped with cushions.
Sleeping and bathing
The beautiful master suite features a super king bed dressed in fine linens and married with a whitewashed rattan ottoman bed end. Providing storage is a fitted wardrobe and an antique style chest of drawers with a chic grey finish. A period fireplace adds eye-catching detail, while lending space for creativity is an elegant writing desk. The room is finished with tasteful decorations and floral flourishes for a fresh, soothing feel.
Calling for restful days spent lounging, bedroom two offers a canopy bed with an elegant, exposed frame and medley of cushions and throws. In the corner, a quiet snug resides with an armchair and bookcase, perfect for moments of quietude curled up with a book. Bathed in neutral tones, this bedroom features a lovely garden-view window, cascading natural light across the room.
Bluebell has one bathroom decorated in a calming palette with natural textures and inflections. It features a large, walk-in rainfall shower with a separate shower head.
Outside space
Bask in the quietude of this rural abode and enjoy the curated garden spaces at Bluebell. Outside, the enclosed garden enjoys a suntrap aspect, sheltered by thick stone walls and reed fencing. For alfresco meals and moments in the sunshine, it features a table and chairs, as well as two Adirondack lounger chairs adorned with throws. Making mealtimes even more special is an outdoor pizza oven, ready for crafting stone-baked deliciousness. For soaks under starry skies, a private outdoor hot tub resides in the corner, illuminated by fairy lights. For those who like to be active there is a tennis court sunk into the hillside. To the front of Bluebell, a gorgeous, raised tree terrace platform seats two comfortable chairs and a side table, commanding views over the rolling countryside that surrounds this corner of Devonshire heaven.

In the Area
Perfectly positioned for days immersed in city, culture and coast, Bluebell is an idyllic bolthole for the dreamers and the explorers. Just a short drive away, the cathedral city of Exeter can be easily reached and offers a wealth of beautiful streets to explore, each lined with boutiques, shops and eateries for your perusal. Heading south, a journey away from Exeter leads you to Dartmoor National Park, where sprawling moorland, granite tors and free-roaming moorland ponies await to take your breath away. For historic houses and manicured grounds, visit the National Trust's Killerton near Exeter, Castle Drogo in Drewsteignton, or for wild walks, head to Haytor, Bellever Wood and Chagford in Dartmoor. The iconic Fingle Bridge is also well worth visiting, and is only a short distance from Bluebell by car.
If you are looking forward to leisurely bike rides through jaw-dropping countryside, The Granite Way runs close to Bluebell. A gloriously flat, mostly traffic-free cycle route through rural Devon, this eleven-mile multi-use trail boasts some of the most incredible views in the county. Once you're ready to reward your efforts and dine in style, head to Gidleigh Park in Chagford, Lympstone Manor in Lympstone or The Elephant in Torquay for Michelin star cuisine. For wholesome classics, The Traveller's Rest is less than a mile from your doorstep, while in Exeter, a host of fabulous cocktail bars and eateries promise culinary excellence, including The Ivy and Calvo Loco Tapas Bar. In summer, an alfresco meal on the floating River Exe Café is a must.
