Set within the grounds of a grand country house with babbling brooks and enchanting woodland nearby, Feathers promises the perfect bolthole for those in pursuit of a relaxing retreat brimming with countryside charm. Complete with chic interiors and an open plan, reverse living approach, you'll also find a wood burning stove, and a charming patio terrace overlooking the neighbouring scenery. Nestled in the South Hams district of Devon, Feathers is wonderfully located for uncovering both country and coastline.
Living
Endlessly cosy, the living room is a darling space to gather with loved ones. At the heart of the room resides the wood burning stove set on a beautiful slate hearth, complete with a unique log store feature. You'll also find two sumptuous grey sofas for unwinding in style, along with a light-filled window seat draped with an ivory sheepskin - the perfect spot to gaze towards countryside scenes.
Eating
Uncover the stunning kitchen and dining space, where soothing shades and bespoke cabinets promise a dreamy dwelling for budding chefs and culinary artists alike. In this stylish space you'll find an electric oven and hob, a hand mixer, kettle, toaster and coffee machines, along with a beautiful butler's sink.
For mealtimes of every occasion, there is a gorgeous zinc-top dining table with a handmade settle seat and a rustic bench for two.
Sleeping and bathing
You'll find two equally beautiful bedrooms at Feathers.
Promising soothing neutral hues and gorgeous oak flooring, the master bedroom with an en suite is a calming space to reside. For those looking to indulge in lingering lie-ins, you'll find a Feather and Black king-sized bed, whilst a Parisian-inspired, elegant double wardrobe, a chest of drawers and two bedside tables provide plenty of storage. Just next door awaits the en suite, complete with a walk-in shower.
With vibrant yellow inflections and a wood panelled feature wall, the second bedroom is equally beautiful. In this cosy room, you'll find a super-king zip-and-link - perfect for flexible sleeping arrangements. In the spacious en suite with rustic cottage features, you'll find a clawfoot, rolltop bathtub for two, along with a separate shower.
Each en suite at Feathers also has heated towel rails.
Babies and children
Babies and children are most welcome at Feathers. Please kindly bring your own baby equipment with you.
Outdoor space
To the rear of the retreat, you'll find a lovely, raised patio courtyard complete with a table and four chairs, setting the scene for summers alfresco. In addition, there is a fire pit and a gas BBQ for use in the summer months. Feathers also has an assortment of paddocks for exercising canine companions.
Stabling
Stabling is available on a DIY Livery basis. The area around Feathers is an idyllic setting for equine adventures, such as the South Hams (including beach riding at certain times of year) and Dartmoor.
Dogs
Two dogs are most welcome at Feathers. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break. You'll find an outdoor shower on the top patio, perfect for rinsing muddy paws. In addition, there is a heated dog kennel, alongside dog-proof paddocks.
Parking
There is ample parking at Feathers, along with parking and secure storage available for boats and trailers.

Please note that Feathers is set within the grounds of a country house and is in proximity to other dwellings.

A little further away settled on the water's edge in the idyllic coastal town of Salcombe, the contemporary Crab Shed offers a fine seafood menu and unrivalled estuary vistas. For those dreaming of a dose of country air, you're surrounded by a wealth of woodland walks, whilst the wild landscapes of Dartmoor's National Park are also within easy reach.
