Welcome to your own private woodland paradise! This larch-clad beauty is just perfect for those wanting a secluded getaway, surrounded by the beauty of nature. Perfect for families and couples alike, the clean, simple yet luxurious approach will bring harmony into your life from the moment you arrive. Of course, the fabulous hot tub will help! Two en suite bedrooms, each with their own private outside space, underfloor heating throughout, large decking and light, airy living spaces make this retreat just idyllic.

Living

The bright, light sitting room has two large sofas to sprawl on and totally relax whilst gazing out over the adjacent wildlife and ponds. Floor-to-ceiling bi-folding glass doors open onto the wooden deck, allowing the outside in on warmer days, whilst there's a Sonos system, 52" Smart TV with Netflix, Prime and cinema sound system for film nights and for catching up on your favourite box sets. In the sideboard you'll find a great selection of games for fun family time together - after all, that's what holidays are made for!

Eating

The smooth, sleek kitchen is a joy to cook and bake in, with all the equipment you'll need to magic up delicious dishes throughout your holiday, including an electric oven, microwave, induction hob, dishwasher, washer-dryer and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine. Next to the kitchen and bi-folding glass doors onto the deck, you'll find a fab dining table for four whilst on warmer days you'll want to make the most of dining outside on the sun-soaked deck.

Sleeping and bathing

There are two lovely, peaceful bedrooms, both simply designed with warm wooden floors, electric heating and white walls to ensure the most harmonious setting for a good nights' sleep. The first en suite bedroom has a king size bed with direct access onto a deck outside which looks over the River Yealm and ancient woodland - what better way to wake up in the morning then by the sounds of the birds and wildlife? The second en suite bedroom also has a king size bed and direct access onto its own tucked-away deck area with a table and chairs. Both bedrooms come complete with sumptuously soft bed linens and throws, whilst both en suites are luxuriously warm with underfloor heating, walk-in showers with drench heads and heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.

Outdoor space

Surrounded by unspoilt woodland, being outdoors is a real highlight of this property. To the front is a sun-soaked wooden deck, complete with table, chairs and a large gas barbeque for dining outside during warmer weather. There's also a smaller, private deck leading off from the second bedroom which has a table and chairs, whilst there is decking next to the master bedroom too. A short walk along the deck lies the fabulous hot tub for six, perfect for wallowing an hour or two, while on clear nights, the firepit awaits for a dreamy dose of stargazing. There's also a wildlife wetland area with two small ponds in front of the house. Of course, you're also free to explore the wider grounds, where there's the Devon Wildlife Reserve nearby where you'll find an idyllic wild flowers and verdant woodland. Make sure to pack a picnic and find a perfect spot for lunch, and maybe a glass of something special.

We had a great week at New England Lodge.

We loved the tranquility, the space and privacy it gives . The walk through the woods next to the lodge is a very special place .

A wonderful location where you are part of a private nature reserve. Befriended by Canada geese and goslings, squirrels, jays and pheasants, and waking to bird song.
