Living and eating
The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is a bright, airy space with floor-to-ceiling bi-folding glass doors that lead out on to the decking, bringing the outside in during warmer months and offering plenty of light and spectacular views during cooler days.
To the back of the room lies the galley kitchen with striking grey cabinets and white worktops. Equipped with everything you could need to rustle up meals, including an electric hob, oven and microwave combined, dishwasher, washer dryer and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine. In front is a circular Ercol quaker-style wooden dining table and chairs situated to make the most of the views. In summer, dine to the sounds of nature, whether it's the morning chorus or the gentle decent into twilight.
The sitting area has a corner sofa and a two-seater sofa so there's plenty of room to sprawl out, whether you're reading, chatting, having a snooze or watching your favourite film or box set on the 55-inch Smart TV with FreeSat, Netflix and Amazon Prime. There's also a SONOS 2 smart speaker so you can have your favourite tunes as the soundtrack to your holiday.
Sleeping and bathing
There are two dreamy en suite bedrooms to choose from, both with dual aspect floor-to-ceiling glass windows, with the front ones opening out on to the wooden deck.
The master bedroom boasts a super king bed, wardrobe, blue velvet occasional chair and easy access to the hot tub from the front. There's also a blissful en suite shower room, with large walk-in shower and rainfall head.
The second bedroom, at the other end of The Nest, has a lovely king size bed, chest of drawers, occasional chair and en suite shower room with large walk-in shower and rainfall head.
Both bedrooms come swathed in luxurious linens and sumptuous bedding, and where long lie-ins offer verdant views of the trees - keep an eye out for wildlife!
Outdoor space
This luxurious cabin in the woods is set in the trees which display a verdant canopy in summer and a striking, atmospheric backdrop in winter. The main wooden deck to the front of the retreat offers a sun-soaked spot for days when you want to hide away from the world, and lounger chairs offer the perfect opportunity to sit back, slip off your shoes and enjoy a drink or two.
Follow the wooden slope down to the lower deck, and a sumptuous bubbling hot tub awaits - the perfect escape at the end of the day to watch twilight descend around you. Of course, you're also free to explore the wider grounds, where there's the Devon Wildlife Reserve nearby where you'll find idyllic wildflowers and verdant woodland. Make sure to pack a picnic and find a perfect spot for lunch, and maybe a glass of something special.
Within the glorious grounds of The Nest you will find a lake amidst the trees, just perfect for an afternoon picnic beside the waters. Please note that the lake is deep and children must be supervised whilst enjoying this idyllic spot.
