This blissfully modern barn conversion is perfect for both families and friends, with three equally inviting bedrooms, a spacious open plan living with a modern wood burning stove, kitchen and dining area and a gorgeous split garden, featuring a bubbling hot tub to while away evenings beneath star studded skies with a unique rooftop terrace with breath-taking views. Dog owners rejoice, Little Moor has access to two acres of private moorland for walking and exercising your dogs, with stunning countryside views - it's a great picnic spot too!

Living

The remarkable open-plan living room is spacious, yet has a cosy feel, with deep tones and contrasting textures to create a homely space for settling down at the end of the day. The brick feature wall beautifully compliments the pieces of furniture, which include a designer suede coffee table and a stylish wooden cabinet. Sink back into one of two plush designer sofas, both dressed with plump cushions and watch your favourite box sets on the Smart TV. A modern ceiling hung log burner takes centre stage, perfectly positioned in the middle of the room to create a warming atmosphere on chilly nights. You'll also find a beautiful burnt orange occasional armchair with a leather footstool, a blissful spot to savour a moment of calm with your latest page turner.

To keep toes toasty and warm, there is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor.

Eating

A sleek kitchen can be found next to the open plan living room, a soothing space for rustling up tasty meals, with a rustic breakfast bar that seats six at its heart. It's well-equipped, with a Smeg oven and hob, an integrated fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave and a washer-dryer. There's also a wine cooler for chilling those pre-dinner tipples and an air fryer for preparing culinary delights.

Sleeping

There are three equally beautiful bedrooms to choose from at Little Moor.

The first bedroom, dressed in deep rich shades, offers a soothing space to unwind at the end of the day. It has a zip-and-link bed for flexible sleeping arrangements, making it great for friends or little ones. There's ample storage, with a bespoke wooden wardrobe, dressing table and two bedside tables.

The second bedroom is dressed in calming shades of blue, with a sumptuous king-sized bed, bedside tables and a chest of drawers. There is also a Mustard wardrobe in the shade Slate for storing your belongings.

The third bedroom has the luxury of being turned into a private suite, making it ideal for different families or multi-generational retreats. The bedroom comes with a comfy king-sized bed and is relaxing space, with gorgeous rustic décor and cushions and throws in shades of rich gold and amber. For storage, you'll find a large free-standing wardrobe, plus two cute bedside tables.

Each bedroom comes swathed in luxurious linens and throws to promise the perfect setting for heavenly slumbers and lingering lie ins.

Bathing

Bedrooms one and three have ensuite shower rooms with large overhead showers, perfect for wake me up ablutions. There is an additional family shower room located on the ground floor, which is adjacent to the lounge. Each shower room has a heated towel rail to keep towels fluffy and warm. You'll find a bathroom opposite the second bedroom, which has a gorgeous copper roll top bath - just made for long bubble filled soaks after days spent exploring the moors.

Outdoor space

Step outside to find a beautiful garden, split over two levels. On the first level sits a dining table and chairs for six, with a BBQ for alfresco dining on balmy summer days. There is also a bubbling hot tub for relaxing under star studded skies. A rooftop terrace lies on the second level, a magical space to relax and enjoy your surroundings. You'll find a high-top dining table for six, which makes for the perfect pre-dinner drinks setting. In addition to this, there is a corner sofa, two sun loungers and two occasional chairs for sun-soaked moments of bliss.

Enjoy access to two acres of enclosed private moorland, a wonderful offering available to all guests at Little Moor. The moorland is excellent for dog walks, with peace of mind that they can run free within an enclosed space, or to find a quiet spot to enjoy a picnic with benches, dining table and chairs, sun loungers along with epic countryside views. For games on the moor, you'll find five-a-side football goals, plus a cricket and badminton set.

Parking

There are two designated parking bays next to the paddock off the main drive. A third parking bay is available on request.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Little Moor:

A beautiful, cosy, rural home from home. Well equipped with everything you need for the ultimate relaxing getaway. Sumptuous bedding and every room with its own loo, bath or shower. The use of the private fully enclosed paddock was superb and made for a relaxed break with our beagle/ terrier cross who loves to “explore” .

Fantastic property that we wouldn't hesitate to book again, plus incredibly accurate description and images, just a wonderful company to deal with, really thoughtful to the point where even payment could be staggered and reminders were sent

Little Moor is a fabulous property situated in a very rural location. Very dog friendly, with a wonderful garden where you could sit and relax. The property is beautifully decorated, very well appointed and comfortable. Had a fabulous week.

A beautiful spacious property with quality appliances and furnishings. Quiet location and great views from the outside areas. Our dog loved the enclosed field at the back!

Wonderful stay in a truly premium property where reality exceeded expectations. It suited our party of 6 adults and 2 dogs perfectly.

Excellent cosy accommodation in a peaceful location. All of the furnishings are high quality and the beds were really comfortable. A real luxurious retreat with fantastic walks on your doorstep, plus a wonderful pub on the village.

Beautiful house with everything we needed for our stay.

Excellent property, very well presented and well equipped.

Gorgeous accommodation and such a lovely welcome package, we loved everything about the property. The open plan living area was spacious but cosy and warm at the same time, lots of logs to put on the fire. All of the bedrooms were beautiful and I loved having a soak in the roll top bath. The hot tub and terrace garden was also lovely. Great location for walks and some great pubs and restaurants near by. I would highly recommend and we will be making a second booking! Peaceful setting and we left feeling very relaxed.

This was a return visit. We stayed for a week at about the same time last year. The cottage is lovely, warm and cosy. Very comfortable beds. Great location

We thought the house was absolutely lovely and noticed how the owners had thought about everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible-we appreciated their generosity and lovely welcome gift. Thank you !

Stunning accommodation, bigger than the photos and totally flawless - better than a 5* hotel. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed.

Little Moor is a beautifully decorated home which has been caringly thought through to ensure you have absolutely everything you need, including any canine companions who accompany you! The home is akin to 5 Star Hotel standard. There are some lovely pubs within a short drive and the setting is quiet and idyllic yet perfectly positioned to reach key places in Dartmoor! We loved everything about it, so much so we booked an extra night as we didn't want to leave!

Lovely rental property; charming decor; well equipped; comfortable beds and cosy living area. Thoughtful touches. House guide was helpful.

Very comfortable lounge and kitchen area, hot tub and outside area’s excellent.

Little Moor was perfect. We loved the decor, the amazingly comfy beds, and the stepped garden. The hot tub was superb. Such a fantastic location with walks straight from the door and dog friendly pubs serving great food nearby. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. I had managed to leave my coat behind and was kindly offered one of theirs. Thank you for a lovely, lovely stay.

Owners were very responsive and helpful when me made enquiries about access and local facilities.

This was a really classy retreat, it had everything and more you could wish for. We found the walking guide very good and went on most of them! Thanks for an amazing stay.

Lovely country barn, with sun catching gardens. Good walks from premises would highly recommend.

Fantastic location and accommodation. The outside patio areas were lovely in good weather. Walking distance to the pub. Brilliant location for walks on Dartmoor.

We had a wonderful stay at Little Moor and were fortunate to have a week of sunshine and able to get the most out of the terraces and hot tub after our walks each day! Thank you for the welcome hamper, everything we needed to start our trip. We walked every day and enjoyed the cottage in the afternoon and evenings. Everything you could want for. We hope to be back again!
