Living and eating
This extraordinary home features an open-plan living design with a Juliet balcony and spectacular views of Bow Creek and beyond. Adorned with oak beams and underfloor heated oak flooring, you'll find endless comfort and luxury in this gorgeous living space. Dressed in calming hues and sumptuously furnished, along with a striking wood burning stove and uninterrupted views over the water, while away restful afternoons and cosy evenings in Boutique style. There's also a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite series, along with a SONOS sound system for creating the soundtrack to your holiday. On cooler days, settle in beside the fire with an array of games, cards and books to enjoy.
The grand, oak-glazed bifold doors lead to Watermark's stunning open-plan kitchen and dining area, where you'll find all the mod cons needed to create fabulous feasts, from the induction hob and double oven, dishwasher and all the other essentials, to the all-important Dualit coffee machine. Not forgetting the American fridge freezer, complete with an ice maker for your evening tipples!

Sleeping and bathing
There are three beautiful bedrooms to choose from at Watermark, all of which promise handmade mattresses along with luxurious, hypoallergenic duvets and pillows.
Within the master bedroom resides a blissful king size bed, enveloped in soft linens, bedding, cushions and throws to ensure you'll drift off into the sweetest of slumbers. Bedside tables offer lovely reading lamps, there's also plenty of storage space with a built-in wardrobe. The en suite shower room features luxury rosemary and bergamot toiletries from St Kitt's Herbery, in Cornwall, as well as a heated towel rail to keep your towels fluffy and warm.
In bedroom two lies a zip and link super king size bed, providing the option to be made up as a twin room if preferred, which looks out at a stunning Creekside view over the outside deck. Dressed in rich shades and decadent finishing touches, this space also features wonderful bedside tables with reading lamps and a built-in wardrobe.

There is parking for one car at Watermark, if you have a second car there are on-road, public parking spaces in front of The Maltsters Arms.

Nestled in the charming hamlet of Tuckenhay, discover plenty of things to do in the surrounding area, if you can bear to tear yourself away from the luxuries of Watermark. Just a short walk from your heavenly retreat uncover The Maltsters Arms in Tuckenhay, a relaxed riverside pub just perfect for a tipple or delicious dining. A little further, yet still a short stroll from your retreat, lies The Watermans Arms, a characterful 17th century pub with oodles of charm.
Watermark is set just a short drive from the lovely, historic market town of Totnes. This unique hub boasts plenty to see and do, from its many independent shops for a little retail therapy, inspiring art galleries for afternoon strolling and The Curator Coffee for a restful latte moment. Uncover this town's historic past at Totnes Castle, the Guildhall and Dartington Hall or head to nearby Dartmouth where there's so much to discover. Experience a river tour on the River Dart, or indulge with a spot of wine tasting at Sharpham Vineyard, The Cellar Door Alfresco Cafe and Calancombe Estate Vineyard.
Settled on the banks of the beautiful River Dart, Dartmouth in South Devon is a delightful town with a richly historic past, offering plenty of wonderful pastimes. With its characterful streets boasting independent stores, galleries, a museum and a plethora of eateries, whilst the charming waterfront is perfect for an afternoon stroll, or just take a moment to watch the boats sail by.
On the water
For the seekers of thrills on the water, you can launch your own kayaks and SUP's from the retreat's private quay steps or just swim out into the creek at high tide. Sit on kayaks and SUPs can also be hired from Totnes Kayaks or Paddle Shack based in Stoke Gabriel. We would advise pre-booking and in quieter times they will deliver kayaks to Quay Place. Canoe Adventures also offer dragon boat excursions from the Maltsters launch area, including trips to Dittisham, Creekside camp fires and many more activities.
The creek is tidal, so does dry for around an hour and a half either side of low tide, giving mud flats with a wealth of bird life to watch. Bring your binoculars!
Walking
Don your walking boots to explore further along Bow Creek towards the River Dart, uncover Charleycombe Woods near Cornworthy or venture to National Trust's Crownley Woods across the stepping stones near Bow Bridge. Why not adventure to Sharpham Point from Ashprington, or if you're feeling particularly energetic, journey from Sharpham Vineyard to Totnes and back! You'll find a variety of maps for the surrounding area in the retreat, all for your use.
