A beautiful abode where spaces for lounging and socialising seamlessly blend, Shucknall Court is the perfect place to gather with loved ones. Proposing hours of fireside bliss, the main living area in rich navy with tastefully contrasting white wainscoting is a snug place to reside. Curl up on one of the two four-seater Tetrad leather sofas or selection of sumptuous armchairs and sink into relaxation while warmth radiates from the Italian marble fireplace. To keep you entertained, a bespoke, built-in media unit houses a Samsung smart TV and sound bar, ready for relaxed evenings with bowls of treats and bottles of something special.
An idyllic space for relaxing in quiet moments or gathering over games, the wonderful entertainment room promises even more delight. Framed by white-washed walls ribbed with open beams, this inviting space is home to both a lounge and dining area. At one end, two three-seater green velvet Tetrad sofas, a Tetrad armchair, large fluffy floor cushion and faux cowhide armchair and footstool beckon for comfort. Meanwhile, at the other, an eighteen-person dining table lends itself perfectly to drawn-out brunches and candlelit repasts. Enjoy the warmth from the dining area's wood burning stove and set the perfect soundtrack on the Rocket vinyl jukebox. A screen with a projector and KEF floor standing speakers promise the perfect setting for a private cinema experience, with the addition of an Amazon Firestick to press play on your favourite films. The Jukebox and surround sound system are both Bluetooth compatible.
Eating and dining
Uncover Shucknall Court's main kitchen and channel your culinary creativity to craft delicious meals. A light-filled space that connects with an adjoining dining area, this open-plan ensemble makes for a magnetic heart of the home. Designed in a modern, farmhouse style with open shelves and a double Belfast kitchen sink, it has soft grey Quaker cabinets topped with Corian that flow into a kitchen peninsula. A real showstopper, this kitchen features a chrome, steel-grey Aga and benefits from all the modcons and appliances you could need, including a double American fridge-freezer, boiler tap, and cafetière. There is also a Roberts Revival radio and a Samsung Smart Art Frame TV.
Blending into the dining area, the kitchen also has a wood dining table with space for all the family, hugged by a full-length, olive-green booth seat, two dining benches and winged dining chairs. Warming the space is a wood burning stove set within a handsome grey mantelpiece, while eclectic artwork adds tasteful pops of colour throughout. Rustle up a divine feast or make use of the onsite caterers for a private chef experience and enjoy the finest cuisine in your Boutique abode, with an additional dining space for ten, plus a heartwarming wood burning stove next door.
Ensuring that everyone has space to prepare their gourmet fare, a second fully equipped kitchen can be found in the utility and boot room, complete with a gas hob, Caple wine cooler, larder cupboard and more.
Situated beside the entertainment room, you'll find a beautifully bespoke third kitchen, with sleek granite worktops. It includes an electric Rangemaster oven with induction hob, a Miele wine cooler, American fridge-freezer, larder cupboard and a dishwasher.
Sleeping and bathing
Each of Shucknall Court's beautiful bedrooms features an ensuite and comes complete with a mini-Bluetooth Roberts Radio, large, fluffy white towels and cosy dressing gowns. All bathrooms have heated towel rails, illuminated anti-fog mirrors, and Bramley shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash and hand cream products.
Beckoning for blissful nights of rest, the first bedroom is home to a super king bed adorned in the finest linens. Warm tones feature in a focal wall with statement wallpaper and overhead pendant lights, while sunshine cascades through large windows draped in full length curtains. Outdoor space
A secret sanctuary in all seasons, the outdoor space at Shucknall Court evokes summer dreams and winter wonder. Encompassing a range of lawned gardens, terraced patios, sheltered corners, an outdoor kitchen and dining areas, it truly has somewhere for everyone. Take a seat on the Hay outdoor furniture that bedecks each patio, enjoy a game of table tennis, or take a stroll through the interlocking spaces. For ultimate bliss, magical moments reside poolside, where a natural outdoor swimming pool tempts for rejuvenating dips under open skies. Recline on a sun lounger on the wood-clad deck or take a heavenly soak in the wood-fired hot tub for two under strings of fairy lights. Perfect for gathering together, an outdoor kitchen area near the pool features a Big Green Egg BBQ and a large outdoor dining table and chairs. Meanwhile, a fire pit awaits with benches and throws for starry-eyed moments under the streaky haze of the milky way.
Parking
There's space for up to nine cars, as well as an overflow car park. There is also an electric charging point onsite.
Babies and children
Children and one babe-in-arms are most welcome at Shucknall Court. A highchair, travel cot and infants' cutlery and plates are available upon request.
Dogs
One well-behaved dog is very welcome at Shucknall Court. There is an outdoor tap, dog bed, dog bowls, and a tie-out lead and stake in the garden.
Please note that the garden area at Shucknall Court is not completely enclosed, and as there is livestock nearby to the property, the owners kindly ask that dogs remain on their leads whilst outside.
In the Area
Set within the bucolic swathes of Herefordshire, Shucknall Court is only a stone's throw from a number of picture-perfect market towns including Hereford, Ledbury and Hay-on-Wye (the town of books). If you can pull yourself away from your luxury escape, a wonderful array of shops, attractions and restaurants await in abundance. For seekers of fine flavours, The Market House Café and Gin Bar, Sitara Restaurant and The Nest at Little Verzons Farm in Ledbury are particularly tempting after a day's boutique browsing. Meanwhile in Hereford, The Yard, The Beefy Boys and Sensory & Rye lure with further choice. Showcasing the best of Hereford's local ingredients, Carriages Restaurant is well worth visiting, and is only a mile from Shucknall Court. For fine dining with a Michelin star twist, Pensons restaurant in Tenbury Wells opens its doors for delicious meals, special events, and foodie masterclasses.
For a drop of inspiration, you can also visit Frome Valley Vineyard, Three Choirs Vineyard and Furnace Wines for unmissable wine tours and experiences. Or, should you wish to take some treats back to your private retreat, Legges Farm Shop and Deli in Bromyard and Peter Cooks Bakery at Five Bridges are recommended. For the latter, you can even place an order to have fresh bread and baked goods delivered for your stay. To walk up an appetite, head out into the Malvern Hills and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The hike up to British Camp, a hilltop Iron Age fort, is especially worthwhile for its far-reaching views. Elsewhere, Symonds Yat Rock above the River Wye, the 860-acre Haugh Woods in Hereford, and The Black Hill (Cat's Back) in the Black Mountains are all great choices for strolls in the great outdoors.
