However you want to write the pages of your story, all the material is right on your doorstep for the most magical adventure here.

Living

A divine space for rest and relaxation, the main living area boasts vast windows which show off captivating views over the countryside and a door connecting to the pretty outdoor terrace. With painted stone walls, wooden floors, a sumptuous sofa, and window-side armchair, it's a light-filled pocket that's as lovely for leisurely mornings watching the sun burst over the horizon as it is for cosy evenings tucked up inside. With an authentic country cottage feel finished with elegant touches throughout, it's the perfect Lakeland hideaway for retreating in Boutique style.

Eating

Decorated in neutral shades playfully complemented by Moroccan-inspired tiles, the pretty cottage kitchen has everything you need for channelling your culinary creativity. Featuring all the essentials for decadent breakfasts and evening repasts after days in the fells, it includes a dishwasher, oven, washing machine and the all-important Nespresso coffee machine for deliciously aromatic pick-me-ups.

Connected to the living area through an open walkway, the forest-green dining room invites for romantic feasts in front of an open fire.

With an attractive wood-panelled feature wall contrasted with soothing tones, this space provides an oasis of calm and luxury escapism. The characterful bathroom promises a clawfoot bathtub, perfect for soothing soaks after a day of exploration.

For a hearty ramble, Cross Fell, the highest point of the Pennine Range, calls to those looking for a challenging hike, rewarded with breath-taking views.

We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Kai:

We loved our stay at Kai. The peace and quiet, the magnificent English countryside, and the close proximity of so many great towns and sites were exactly what we were looking for. The cottage itself is cozy and well appointed and made for an extremely relaxing and comfortable stay.

Our stay at Kai was wonderful, a perfect honeymoon spot. Super relaxing and a beautiful location.

We loved out stay here, the location is perfect, the hot tub just gorgeous and the cottage was comfortable and we felt so relaxed and rested when we left. We are looking to book again later this year as we enjoyed our stay so much.

Had a lovely week, thank you!

Peace and quiet is what Kai is all about, from the comfy sun room to the nordic style hot tub, relaxation at it's finest. A lovely welcome pack and a beautiful property. We didn't want to leave!

Charming, secluded, cosy cottage. Thank you!

Beautiful cottage that exceeded our expectations in every way. Great mix of rustic and contemporary features and all the amenities you could want. 5*+

Overall, we had a truly wonderful time and would absolutely stay here again! We especially appreciated the cows just outside our window, the hot tub, fireplace, and cosiness of the home. We loved being able to stay on such a gorgeous piece of land not too far away from Penrith, which is a charming town. It was a luxurious retreat in the gorgeous lake district, it was our first time visiting and staying here made all the difference. Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay!!

Secluded location hidden away like a gem. Quiet, tranquility home from home.

What a wonderful, hidden treasure! A stunning cottage, in a beautiful location, perfectly composed for maximum rest and relaxation. X

We had a lovely stay. The location is great, with beautiful countryside views from every window. We'll be back!

Thank you so much for a comfortable and stylish stay in beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed spending our honeymoon here with our dog!

Beautiful rustic cottage in the heart of Lake District - the perfect destination for escaping the busy city for a little while. The hot tub is such a lovely addition to the property and is excellent for those chilly evenings. Comfortable bed, loved the selection of books and board games available—just an ideal place for a few nights away.

Stunning, Stunning. We loved Kai, totally relaxing away from everything. The noisiest thing was the kettle. Loads of wild life, hares, badgers. Great walks. Peace

We enjoyed our stay in this small, remote cottage. An away from it all break!

Beautiful cottage, amazing location. Loved the aesthetics and was very dog friendly.

We had a lovely time at Kai with our dog. The cottage was cosy and warm in a quiet location. It was clear that a lot of effort had been put into decorating the cottage and providing all the little extras. The items like the coffee machine and the candles added to the romantic and luxury feel. The wood fired hot tub was a lovely idea, but the reality didn't quite match up. We would recommend Kai to friends and family.

Fantastic weekend, just what was needed! The cottage and facilities were all spot on.
