Like a scene lifted straight from canvas, the picture-perfect setting and breathtaking vistas surrounding our retreat evoke a spellbinding charm. Residing on the shores of Loch Kishorn, a tidal sea loch overlooking the Isle of Skye, and only seven miles from Strathcarron, this heavenly homestay for up to ten guests promises luxury escapism and inspires a sense of wild tranquillity. Embracing organic interiors through oak beams and rustic features, our secret sanctuary offers a beautiful abode from which to admire the soul-stirring scenery on your doorstep. Whether you're seeking a family gathering to escape from reality, or immersing in nature with friends, the spectacular setting of our dwelling captures beauty at every turn. Trace mountain trails past open skies, luxuriate during lochside picnics by glittering shores, and uncover hidden and not-so-hidden local gems. From cycling the NC500 and famed Bealach na Bà mountain pass, to whiling away days kayaking and paddleboarding, the wilds of Wester Ross await for a luxury getaway in Scotland.

Living

With a reverse design, the beautiful living area resides on the first floor featuring an apex ceiling, oak beams, light oak wooden floors, and a large triangular window framing the natural tapestry of trees. Exuding serenity, a dedicated seating area with three-seater sofa with linen cover awaits, as well as comfortable linen bean bags to sink into after a day's adventure.

Settle into the deep window seat, perfect for slow moments watching the vast, ever-changing skies of the West Coast. Cosy up with a book beside the wood burning stove, or simply soak up the views unveiled before you.

For cinematic entertainment, a full HD TV along with a Sonos sound system with surround speakers offers silver-screen scintillation. Meanwhile, a vintage table provides a great centrepiece to gather together for games of backgammon, cards, chess and draughts and hours of nostalgia.

Eating and dining

Arranged in an open-plan design, the upstairs living space adjoins a light-filled dining area. Beckoning for leisurely brunches and delicious dinners together, a beautiful, bespoke refectory table in solid oak takes centre stage. Paired with high-backed dining chairs with linen seats, this is the perfect place to gather over feasts and flutes as your staycation soundtracks play from the Sonos. There is also a handcrafted cabinet with globe door knobs which offers an ideal place to stow Scottish whisky and cocktail making kits.

To curate the most sublime repasts, the kitchen can be found in a bright room directly off the dining area. Mirroring the neutral hues of the living area, it is adorned in soothing tones complemented by white granite worktops. Two sinks (one with a Qettle tap), a Nexus gas range, a large fridge and a range of appliances and accoutrements encourage culinary creativity. Meanwhile, an additional storage room and separate downstairs kitchen provide more space to store decadent treats and prepare morning blends, where you will find a fridge freezer.

Sleeping and bathing

Uncover five luxurious bedrooms, each with mohair rugs in Highland hues for added cosiness. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom featuring a heated towel rail. There is also an additional downstairs WC for comfort and convenience.

Soft light streams through the window of the first bedroom, Bramble. Residing on the ground floor, it is bathed in a calming colour palette and has an upholstered linen window seat offering views over the courtyard. Calling for blissful repose, a luxury super-king bed that can be transformed into a twin flourishes a deep, pocket-sprung mattress containing alpaca, silk and cashmere on a velvet base. Across the bed, one hundred percent cotton sheets are complemented with a cosy goose down duvet, cotton bedspread, and feather cushions. An attractive Indian display cupboard rests on the wall, while beautiful furnishings decorate the room and provide generous storage for stowing belongings. This bedroom is coupled with an ensuite bathroom with a walk-shower.

The second bedroom, Heather, rests on the ground floor and features a zip-and-link super king-size bed that can also be arranged into a twin if required. For total comfort, it features a pocket-sprung mattress with alpaca, silk and cashmere and is enswathed in the finest goose down duvet and cotton sheets. Admire the sunrise and set from a cushioned window seat, while adjustable reading lamps hug the bed for moments lost between the pages. This bedroom features abundant storage space and also benefits from its own ensuite bathroom where an antique chair with linen cushion and a bath with an overhead shower await.

Nestled on the ground floor, Thistle is the third bedroom and promises nights of healing slumber. Able to be configured as either a super-king or a twin, its sumptuous bed enjoys a cosy, pocket-sprung mattress of the highest quality, topped with the finest cotton sheets and throws.

For moments of quiet escapism, a cushioned window seat rests at the foot of the bed, while an antique washstand with a solid marble top and antique chair offers somewhere to take pen to paper. For privacy and comfort, this bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and white porcelain basin topped with a Gemma Orkin China soap dish.

On the first floor, the fourth bedroom, Moss, tempts for rest and relaxation. A serene haven, it features a gently sloping ceiling and a window with views over a leafy canopy behind the glass. Moss has a zip-and-link super-king bed with a deep, pocket sprung mattress and velvet base, dressed in pure cotton sheets for the utmost comfort. Offering additional space to relax and curl up with a book are two large rope chairs. Meanwhile, tasteful furnishings deliver ample space for storage. Completing the picture is a separate bathroom directly next door, fitted with a walk-in shower and illuminated by a Velux window.

Rowan is the fifth lovely bedroom and can be found on the first floor. Perfect for friends and couples alike, it has a super-king bed that can be configured into a twin upon request. A slanting ceiling lends additional character, while soft, gentle tones and woodland vistas evoke a sense of peacefulness. For deep sleep, the pocket-sprung mattress contains alpaca, silk and cashmere and is dressed in the highest quality cotton bedding and a Sabra cactus silk cushion. Antique nuances blend with contemporary comforts and are paired with carefully considered storage areas. An antique bedroom chair proposes dreamy quietude, while directly next door, an ensuite with a walk-in shower offers exclusive comfort.

Outdoor space

A place where manicured verdure blends with Highland wilderness, the outdoor space of our Scottish beauty is simply divine. Explore the grounds on foot and bask in the glorious views, relaxing on bonnie benches and relishing the otherworldly scenery. Return to take tea around the outdoor table and chairs on sun-soaked days. Or, for those dusky evenings of magic as the sun gives way to stars, gather around the outdoor fire pit to toast glasses and roast marshmallows in the amber glow of flames. With the light of countless stars, the tempt of the Aurora overhead and the warmth of the open fire, it's hard to find a more bewitching setting for soul-stirring sojourns.
