With a stunning limestone façade and original sash windows, our darling dwelling is the epitome of countryside cosiness, with a timeless interior style throughout, a wood burning stove and two beautiful bedrooms, both with en suite bathrooms. Welcoming up to four guests and two canine companions, Linen Cottage offers the perfect getaway for romantic couples' escapes and smaller families alike. A quintessential market town, home to the internationally renowned Hauser & Wirth art gallery and promising a thriving culinary scene, Bruton is the dreamiest setting for those seeking a cultural countryside escape. Our otherworldly retreat resides less than three hours away from London by car, with wonderful railway links for those looking to travel by train.
Living
Embracing the beauty of the cottage's original features is the antique art-adorned cosy living room, featuring beautiful lime plaster, slate flagstones, and rustic wooden beams. Taking centre stage is the fireplace with a wood burning stove, perfect for fireside soirées with your kin, gathered together on the plump, handmade sofa and armchairs. For staycation entertainment, there is the addition of a Smart TV for cosy nights in with a film.
Please note that due to the charming nature of Linen Cottage, you will find low ceilings and characterful beams in some parts of the cottage, along with steep original staircases.
Kitchen and Dining
A symphony of textured wood and Mustard Yellow by Little Greene, the traditional farmhouse-style kitchen and dining room is a delightful space for those with cottagecore living dreams. An antique pine table for four sets the scene for romantic feasts at any hour, whilst bespoke shaker cabinetry hosts all you could require for culinary creation, including an induction hob and oven, a Nespresso machine and a retro microwave. You'll also find a dishwasher, under-counter fridge/freezer and a washer/dryer.
Sleeping and bathing
Take the wooden staircase to find two stunning bedrooms, each with an en suite.
Promising cosy carpet and butter-yellow accents, the first bedroom is complete with a king-size bed, an occasional chair, and wall hooks and hangers - an ethereal setting for slumber. Adjacent is the en suite shower room, featuring mustard wood panelling and a walk-in rainfall shower, embellished with Calacatta marble metro tiles.
To the front of the cottage, uncover the master bedroom of dreams, a bewitching space with mahogany, moody olive greens and burnt orange hues. A super-king zip and link bed awaits, alongside an occasional armchair for those seeking a spot to retreat with a novel. For storing your belongings, you'll find open shelving, a suitcase rack and wall hooks. There is a WC and sink next door.
Climb the final staircase to the eaves of the cottage, where you'll find an olive-green, freestanding rolltop bathtub for bubble-topped soaks - a spellbinding sanctuary for self-care moments.
Outdoor space
Flowing seamlessly from the kitchen to the outdoors is Linen Cottage's enchanting courtyard garden. Adorned with festoon lighting and complete with a small table and vintage chairs, this darling spot is a wonderful setting for romantic suppers beneath sunset skies.
Parking
On-street parking is available in the streets around Linen Cottage. A selection of free car parks can be found within the town, within easy walking distance to the cottage. Please note, you can stop outside the cottage to unload your belongings.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are most welcome at Linen Cottage. Please note, there is additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
