Whilst proudly displaying its rich heritage with open beams, exposed stone walls and antiqued finds, the Black Swan firmly propels itself into the 21st century with warmth, a gentle soundtrack of music and the polished sheen of a recent refurbishment. Furnished with ample tables and seating for groups of all sizes, the pub offers both tucked-away romantic tables for two, more informal bar seating and a flexible layout so that big parties can eat together too.
Serving lunch and dinner 6 days a week, daily specials are inscribed onto a big black chalk board and regular menus updated with the season. Served 12 until 3pm Mondays to Fridays and from 12 to 5pm on Saturdays, the lunch menu comprises a handsome selection of dishes; opt for one of the pub’s speciality ciabattas or choose from the available light bites. In the evening, the Black Swan serves up a much more extensive menu, with all sorts of mouth-watering variations. From starters to desserts, there is something to suit all tastes and dietary needs. And, sourcing local fish, meat and vegetables wherever possible, each dish benefits from as little mileage as possible, meaning guests can enjoy a real taste of Cornwall along with cleaner, fresher flavours and textures.
