With glorious sea views, this wonderful Grade II listed Georgian town house in the heart of Fowey is set right on the waters' edge of the River Fowey and is the perfect home stay for families, a group of friends or couples after lots of space. Relaxed yet luxurious, the interiors are classic and refined, in muted colours and warm wood to make the most of the incredible sea and town views. Its location, just minutes from the bustling streets, is just perfect; tucked-away enough that when you shut the door it feels like you're in your own private hideaway, hidden from the world. It also benefits from private access to the water, so if you're keen on exploring by boat or kayak, this is a top spot for you.
Living
The airy, sunny sitting room comes complete with soft leather armchairs and a comfortable sofa, whilst bi-fold doors open out on to the waterside terrace that overlooks boats bobbing on the water and the countryside beyond. Perfect for hot sunny days, doors can be opened up to let the summer's air float through and to bring the outside in - bliss!
Eating
The fabulous kitchen, in a lovely shade of Farrow & Ball Inchyra Blue, comes complete with an Aga, eye-catching butcher's block-style island, butler's sink, marble work surface and all the equipment a chef might need to conjure up tasty meals. We adore the window seat - perfect for gazing out to sea or for resting up with a glass of something special, watching the cook at work!
The dining area offers plenty of seating for eight people. In addition, there's an outdoor dining table and chairs, plus a barbeque for a spot of alfresco dining.
Sleeping & Bathing
There are four pretty bedrooms, each beautifully decorated in a chic, traditional style in keeping with the heritage of the house. You'll find a king size bedroom on the first floor, with a window looking out over the town. It has an en suite shower room with eye-catching green tiles and is 'Jack and Jill' in style with two doors - one into the bedroom and one out into the hallway. A further king bedroom is found on the first floor with lovely waterside views. Two further bedrooms can be found on the second floor - to the front is a zip and link (super-king double or twin beds) with a bathroom that also has 'Jack and Jill' doors, whilst to the back is a gorgeous super-king bedroom with dual aspect windows overlooking the sea and an en suite shower room.
Bathing
There is a large, luxurious bathroom and a spacious shower room - both are 'Jack and Jill', being accessed from two of the bedrooms and the hallway. Plus, on the second floor, there is an en suite shower room for the super-king bedroom and on the ground floor there's a downstairs loo. Outside, on the pretty terrace, there is an outdoor shower which runs both hot and cold water.
Outdoor space
There's an idyllic waterside terrace to the rear of the property overlooking the water and with views across to Polruan - an amazing spot to lounge and watch boats and yachts sail by. It's a walled garden so you're well protected and not overlooked, making it incredibly private and perfect for whiling away the hours. With easy access to the water you can hire a day-boat from the quay. Should you wish to bring your own boat, you can arrange in advance to launch and hire a visitor's mooring via Fowey Harbourmaster's Office. A kayak/paddle board is provided for those wishing to explore the water. In addition, there is an outdoor shower in the garden - perfect for washing sandy feet.
Parking
There is private parking available for one car in a secure garage. This is located nearby, so you can pull up in front of the house to unload and then drive on to the car park - a short walk away. Extra car parking can be found in the local car parks.

Fowey is such an incredible town, that you don't need to step in your car if you don't want to. There's a plethora of fabulous shops and eateries within a short walk - step through the back gate and you'll find yourself on the town quay and right next to Haveners, a lovely glass fronted restaurant perfect for dinner and drinks. Check out Sam's which serves sumptuous steak and seafood in a cool setting (they also have 'Sam's on the Beach' which overlooks the water in nearby Polkerris). Fitzroy and The Old Quay House are great for chic eats, whilst there's a host of pubs, tea shops, fish and chip shops and cafes to explore too. Being literally on the water, you might like to try your hand at paddle boarding, kayaking or sailing - you can hire boats from town quay, just outside the garden door. Nearby Readymoney Cove is a lovely sandy beach you can walk to, whilst nearby Par beach is dog friendly all year. For walkers, join the South West Coastal Path and head in either direction for lovely walks with stunning views, whilst you can catch the ferry over to Polruan which has lots of National Trust land to explore or Station wood, which is just on the edge of town.
Further afield is The Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project and Charlestown, most recently made famous by 'Poldark' and the stunning South coast. You might like to head North towards Padstow, the Camel Estuary, Rock and Polzeath for wilder beaches - great for surfing.
