We know how gorgeous our retreats are, but don’t just take our word for it – here’s what previous guests say about Tremayne Farmhouse:

Tremayne Farmhouse is an absolute gem - perfect for our family of mixed ages, plus 2 dogs. Very comfortable accommodation, close to beautiful beaches and wonderful woodland walks.

A beautiful house, presented to a very high standard. Particularly delighted with the comfortable beds, it is extremely rare for an owner to be concerned about sleeping comfort. The kitchen has everything required by a family group of eight and everyone really enjoyed the stay. Alison has done a fantastic job at Tremayne Farmhouse.

Beautiful rural FarmHouse set in idillic grounds. Beautiful interiors, very comfortable bedrooms and well equipped kitchen.
The owner Alison was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

I want to keep it a secret just for us! It was absolutely beautiful and Alison was very friendly and helpful. The welcome goodies were very thoughtful. We had everything we needed

This lovely cottage is in an excellent location to explore this part of Cornwall and the perfect family retreat. The owner was extremely helpful, made a huge difference to our stay.

Very cosy, extremely helpful owner. Very well equipped house. Beautiful garden.

A comfortable and well located house with quality fixtures and fittings.

A beautiful, well-equipped farmhouse and a friendly welcome.

Tremayne Farmhouse is a special and unique corner of Cornwall which offers a tranquil, comfortable and private space. The property is all one could wish for when leaving the 'madding crowd' behind and the family loved the space and grace of all the rooms. Wonderful bathrooms and spacious bedrooms! The view from the garden at the back of the farmhouse is stunning. We were so lucky with the weather and our host, Alison, welcomed us warmly.

This was a 70th celebration and I will never forget this special stay. Waking up to a birthday breakfast in the elegant dining room was a treat. Thank you to all who made this so memorable!

Best wishes

Cathy

Beautiful house in a fabulous "tucked away" location Very clean and well organised, seamless check in The hosts were incredibly friendly and very responsive, but not at all intrusive. They and had left us champagne and delicious brownies for the arrival. Even made some additional brownies for us later in the week which my boys loved. We would definitely visit again!

We enjoyed a very warm welcome to a beautifully appointed house. The brownies, topped with Cornish sea salt were genius and the champagne was a lovely touch. A great home to enjoy some beautiful countryside, beaches, and coves. Thank you Alison for making us so welcome.

We had a fabulous family holiday in beautiful Tremayne Farmhouse. Like everyone else we loved the brownies, the peace and quiet and exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall. Thank you from us all.

This was the best place we have ever stayed in, Alison was great and John with his brownies was amazing. We also appreciated all your advice about the local area and places to visit as a family! Our girls have enjoyed seeing the bats, the horses and time with your gorgeous dogs! Thank you for the most amazing stay, it exceeded our expectations to the point where we didn’t want leave and wanted to move in, apart from the 12 hour journey back home which should have taken 6 hours, we would do it all over again. You have a beautiful home here and we so hope to visit again soon! Thank you.

Alison was a fantastic host and the house was beyond our expectations.

Absolutely wonderful stay here at Tremayne Farmhouse. Such a gorgeous place with everything we could possibly need. We have enjoyed exploring the Helford River, the Lizard, and further afield. Thank you so much for making us feel so welcome - the brownies were delicious.

A wonderful stay in your beautiful home! We have had a great time exploring the beaches as the weather has been glorious! Thank you so much for the delicious brownies and great hospitality. We will be back!

We have had a wonderful stay here and thoroughly enjoyed walking in woodland and along shorelines. Trebah and Glendurgan gardens are magnificent. A very welcoming and relaxing place to stay. Thank you, Alison!

Lovely quiet, relaxing location. Excellent facilities, owners very welcoming and accommodating. Equipment excellent. Location rather remote (therefore quiet) but easily accessible with car. Perfect for family get together and dog friendly

Six very old friends have had a wonderful week here at Tremayne. The house is a delight - roomy, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Much fun has been had around the large dining table and of course, the wine fridge has been fully utilised. Great beds too! A memorable week. Many thanks to Boutique Cottages, and the owners, Alison and Jon.

SSSHHH... DON'T TELL ANYONE. The most perfect house in my favourite place in the world in which to celebrate my 60th birthday. Thank you for every detail. We shall return.

Thank you for a wonderful stay. The farmhouse is all we could have wished for, and the attention to detail such as the champayne and brownies made it a very memorable visit. Thank you.

We had a very happy and comfortable stay at Tremayne Farmhouse and could not recommend it more. A beautiful area with endless delicious pubs and walks. Highly recommended.

What a beautiful house you have created, it worked perfectly for our family and was an ideal set-up to entertain our local family too. The farmhouse immediately felt like home, the Christmas tree and decorations were a lovely extra for the season. The champagne was quickly appreciated by all and the brownies and Christmas cake enjoyed all weekend! Thank you, we look forward to coming again.

Our first visit to this excellent rural property. Ideal configuration for us - 3 adult couples plus one dog. Beds very comfortable. Three bathrooms worked very well. Extremely functional and well equipped kitchen. Access to large grassed area with garden furniture behind former farm buildings ideal for dog and outside dining during good weather. Overall an excellent choice near (a short drive) charming small village of Helford and some lovely river walks nearby. Alison is a very friendly, resourceful and helpful host. Very glad we chose this property

This was our second visit to Tremayne Farmhouse and it did not disappoint. It is as comfortable as it is cosy, and as well-equipped and as it is clean & tidy. Alison made us feel so welcome and her welcome pack of bubbles and chocolate brownies is just that....very welcome. This cottage just ticks all the boxes and is the one by which we judge any others we stay in. We will be back for a third visit I am sure.

We had a wonderful stay at Tremayne Farmhouse and Alison was an excellent host. The house was gorgeous, beautifully presented and extremely well looked after - and we were made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommend.

The perfect, tranquil location for a family holiday; a base from which to explore Cornwall and a wonderful setting for al fresco dining and BBQ’s in the evening. With such a well equipped farmhouse and huge dining room, we decided to eat in most evenings enjoying sumptuous amounts of wine, Champagne and local foods. We would have no hesitation in returning and would highly recommend this retreat.

The house is beautiful, really well appointed, very comfortable and was exceptionally clean. Alison is lovely, everything was very easy and peaceful. We will be back!

Tremayne Farmhouse is an excellent retreat - in this case literally a retreat as it is remote. The attention to detail by Alison is superb. The house is beautifully restored and decorated.

A beautiful property , ideal for large family groups.

Kitchen set up for experienced cooks.

The farmhouse is lovely. Exactly as described. Very spacious and clean throughout. There is a large wood burner in the living room which also has underfloor heating, as does the dining room.
The kitchen and bathroom fixtures and fittings (all 3 of them) are finished to a very high standard. The cutlery, crockery and glasses provided were also of very good quality. Alison offered us a very warm welcome, which included chocolate brownies (lovely) and could not have been more helpful with providing guidance on where to go and where to eat. In summary, we had a fantastic time at a wonderful location. Thank you.

Tremayne Farmhouse has set the bar for all our future bookings. It was a delight to stay somewhere so clean, comfortable and well thought out with a hostess who was there when we needed recommendatations or advice, but was never over-present. Alison's chocolate brownies just added one more level of loveliness.

Would recommend the property. Great for families and individuals. Near to amenities and would be suitable whatever the weather

Incredibly well appointed, the owner has thought of everything, stunning peaceful location in the heart of Cornwall.

' Thank you so much for a wonderful week in your beautiful, peaceful home. It truly was what we required. You have thought of everything that we may have needed and the small touches were very much appreciated. Gathering our small family together here for the week made for a very special stay. Thank you and we shall return' - October 2021

' Thank you for another wonderful week in our home from home. Yet again you have looked after us brilliantly. The house is spotless, the champagne is welcoming and the brownies say no more. Our week has gone to quicky, so we will have to ocme back soon. Thank you again' - September 2021

'What a wonderful stay we've had here at Tremayne Farmhouse. The house is immaculate and so well- equipped with everthing we could possibly have needed. Never have we stayed in such a well-thought out and comfortable place- a real home from home. Alison your hospitality has also been wonderful- we felt as though nothing was too much trouble and you have been so welcoming and accomodating. The kids loved playing on the climbing frame and slide and playing with Rocky and Belle. The bottle of bubbles and freshly baked cake which was here on arrival was very much appreciated. Thank you for making our week so special. We'll certainly be back!' - September 2021

''We have had a wonderful stay, thank you so much! All of the little touches make the house so comfortable. The kitchen is so well stocked too! Thank you for being so pleasant - your helpful advice helped us to plan great days out. Looking forward to coming back!' - September 2021

'Our retreat was a haven of peace, tranquility and contentment. The farmhouse surpassed all expectations and gave us the perfect base to spend quality time as a family. We can't wait to return! This really was a "Boutique Retreat" and we particularly enjoyed the personal touches in making sure our stay was special. Thank you so much!' - Augsut 2021

'We enjoyed two blissful weeks at Tremayne Farmhouse - what a beautiful property. It has been done up so thoughtfully, with so much attention to detail. It's certainly the best rental property we've stayed in! We loved the little touches - the heated towel rails, comfortable beds and fresh flowers on arrival - we were spoiled! We enjoyed staying in this area, with great local walks and beaches - made all the more by glorious weather! Thank you for all the help and suggestions Alison, we had a beautiful holiday and will be back!' - June 2021

'Thank you so much for a lovely stay in your fantastiaclly well-appointed house. We have enjoyed great walks and the peace and quiet' - June 2021

'What a fabulous house in a beautiful and unspoilt part of Cornwall! We had a wonderful week ehre. The house has been beautifully renovated with such care and flair, and is spotlessly clean. We've enjoyed being 'off the beaten track' here. We have particularly liked the walks and the excellent evenings at local restaurants. We were sorry to leave, but will be back!' - May 2021

Exquisine and comfortable in every respect. A beautiful, peaceful retreat. Thank you Alison for being so welcoming and attentive. Credit to the cake-maker also! Thank you for a perfect stay.

Thank you Alison for making our holiday so memorable. Nothing appeared too much trouble and you certainly made us feel very welcome throughout.

We very much appreciated your detailed information pack prior to arrival as were new to the area. We loved the goodies in the kitchen especially those gorgeous brownies baked by your husband on arrival and the extra fire wood in the evenings to make the evenings extra cosy.

The farmhouse just exceeded all our expectations and has without doubt set the bar for our next family vacation. Not only was the location perfect and steeped in history but every room was beautifully furnished and finished to a very high standard which all just added to our fabulous family holiday.

I would also like to take this opportunity in thanking you and your team in contacting us immediately on finding valuables left in one of the bedrooms and arranging for its safe return.

We look forward to another visit in the future and will highly recommend Tremayne Farmhouse to our friends and family' - October 2020

'The cottage was spacious, well finished and equipped with everything you might need. The location is quiet and perfectly placed for exploring the Helford' - October 2020

'From the information pack you sent us ahead of our stay with recommendations on where to go and where to eat, to the welcome chocolate brownies (which were lovely) to the endless supply of wood for the wood burner (which is fabulous) to the last morning late check out, our stay was excellent. You clearly have an attention to detail and that can clearly be seen throughout the farmhouse. The kitchen and all bathrooms look and feel brand new and are finished to a high standard with good quality fixtures and fittings. It feels like all the rooms have been recently decorated and everywhere is very clean. The crockery, glasses and cookware are also all of very good quality. You could not have done any more to make us feel more welcome or made our stay any more enjoyable and we all wanted you to know just how much we had enjoyed our stay. Many thanks' - October 2020

'So, we have now returned home after a week in Devon and wanted to write an express our thanks your your wonderful hospitality. You have now set the bar for all our future holiday bookings. We thought Tremayne Farmhouse was a literal home from home. You have really thought through what guests will want or need including plenty of storage in the kitchen for a week's worth of groceries (you would be amazed how many cottages have no spare space for ingredients but are filled with every cooking gadget you can think of).The house was spotless and so comfortable - and the big rooms were perfect. The enclosed garden area is genius as I normally have to get dressed and take the dogs out on a lead first thing. Your garden area allowed me to just open the door and let them out - another really well thought out feature. Next time, we will come when the whether is warm and fine and look forward to using the table outdoors. That looks like a wonderful place to while away a summers' evening. So, thank you again for your warm hospitality, the advice on where to go ..... oh and the brownies and quince jelly .......... yummy. We hope to see you again soon' - October 2020

'We had a really relaxing stay. The house is very comfortable and beautifully restored and decorated, with some great attention to detail. Thanks for the hospitality and all the little details, including making up the fire ready to go, and of course the cake! We will definitely be back.' - July 2020
