Relish afternoons of rambling the surrounding country trails or adventure along the Helford River’s edge, for dreamy days spent in a Cornish reverie. Finding yourself lost in nature has never been so spellbinding, just perfect for couples looking to escape into the depths of magical Cornwall. From tractors bumbling by, to paddock roaming horses for company – this truly is country life at its most charming. When the countryside wanderlust is calling, there is nowhere you’d rather be.
Living and dining
From the moment you walk through its quaint barn door, the aura of calm at Trepigge is undeniable. Exploring each room as they peel off from the main corridor entrance, the divine luxury of interiors and sumptuous touches know no limits. Simple rustic charm compliments the subtle inclusion of contemporary comfort, crafting the very best of both worlds. Trepigge boasts a hearty slice of Cornish allure; we’re talking traditional slate underfoot, exposed beams and delicious glimpses of original stone. The snug study lies off the main walkway, with a Loaf desk perfectly placed beneath the mystical window view over lush rolling fields. Lose yourself in a quiet moment, hunker down on the cushion-clad daybed and devour your current read with a coffee in hand – pure bliss.
Trepigge’s central corridor then flows through to the heart of the living area, where you’ll find an open plan kitchen and living room. Simply sleek kitchen interiors sit perfectly with the barn’s more rustic styles, whilst you’ll uncover all the amenities you could possibly wish for to cook up a romantic delicacy. The kitchen boasts an electric AEG oven and hob, complete with a microwave, fridge and separate freezer to store that all important ice for your favourite tipple. For all your everyday needs, you’ll find a washing machine with dryer and dishwasher on hand. When feasting at the sweet dining table for two, you may find yourself lost in the view rather than your lover’s eyes – those far reaching countryside vistas are just impossible to overlook!
On chilly afternoons, strike a match to ignite the mesmerising flames of your roaring wood burner and relish a slow moment in this heavenly hideout. For cosy evenings in, cuddle up on the gorgeous grey Loaf sofa with a book in hand, or there’s a Smart TV for the perfect film night with your beau.
Sleeping and bathing
You’ll find the sumptuous bedroom, with a super comfy king size bed in romantic shades of charcoal grey, lovingly adorned in the cosiest cushions and throws. With gorgeous beams overhead for that traditionally rustic feel, you’ll have nothing but a serene slumber in this divan of dreams. Awaken to the soft notes of birdsong and golden light leaking through the glass door. Step out onto the adjacent patio where you’ll find a table and chairs, an idyllic spot for taking your morning coffee into nature. On drearier dawns, cosy up with breakfast in bed and indulge in a slow morning moment to ease you into the day. There’s also a delightful day bed in the study, just perfect if you’re bringing along a little one.
Begin your days with an invigorating shower for those refreshing moments in Trepigge’s oh-so-sweet shower room. There's also a heated rail to keep your towels perfectly warm and fluffy.
Outside Space
Our charming little cottage overlooks a rolling meadow, with a country chic seating area outdoors to relax and immerse in those breath-taking views. Take afternoon tea in the garden at the quaint table and chairs; you might just find yourself transported to another realm entirely from beneath the vintage parasol. With a plethora of surrounding trails to explore, take a picnic amongst the wildflowers and discover a dreamy spot to get lost in an afternoon daze. On balmy summer evenings, you may even be greeted by the nearby ponies as they wander the pasture - this is true country living, with a hearty dash of magic.
If your heart belongs on the water, you can bring and store your own boat at Trepigge for those perfect afternoons at Tremayne Quay, where you can launch onto the blissful Helford River.

There is private parking directly outside Trepigge on the gravelled area.
Babies and children
Babes in arms are very welcome at Trepigge. Please bring your own baby equipment with you.
Dogs
Trepigge is dog friendly and welcomes one dog to stay with you. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

In the Area
With so many places to explore in the area, you’ll discover an array of sights to see and things to do. If you’re an unashamed foodie, The Shipwrights Arms is a cosy thatched gem just a 1-and-a-half-mile stroll away from the property or uncover The Prince of Wales, a quintessential 16th century pub in Newtown. Take a stroll to the idyllic Helford River to dine on the water’s edge or explore the local coves nearby, it certainly is an area of natural beauty!
If you’re looking to get back to nature, venture to Trebah and Glendurgan Gardens to experience breath-taking displays of local flora, whilst Trevassack Lake promises open water swimming and a range of watersport activities to enjoy. As the most southernly point and designated Area of Natural Beauty, The Lizard is awash with stunning scenery along its coastline including Kynance Cove, Lizard Point and Mullion Cove. The pretty fishing villages of Coverack and Cadgwith are must-visits to immerse yourself in the local Cornish culture. Grab a delicious local bite at Fat Apples Café or venture to Gear Farm for must-have organic produce to rustle up your evening dishes.
Further along the coast you’ll find the quirky town of Falmouth, with a bustling harbour this university town offers unique shops, Maritime Museum and an abundance of excellent eateries. You’ll even find the quaint Gyllyngvase Beach with restaurant for perfect ocean vistas, Falmouth certainly does have it all! Fancy sailing further afield, you can catch the ferry or drive to St Mawes and the beautiful Roseland Peninsula. For incredible food, head to nearby Trengilly Wartha, an award-winning pub, whilst The Potager is a fabulous café surrounded by gardens.
