Follow the flow of quiet Cornish lanes to Meurgara, an idyllic bolthole set within sweeping countryside scenery. Surrounded by patchwork fields lined with budding Cornish hedgerows, this adorable abode promises soul-soothing serenity and is only a stone's throw from West Cornwall's highlights. Awake on sweet summer mornings and bathe in golden sunlight before taking a dip in the outdoor swimming pool. In winter, let the warmth of underfloor heating and a wood burning stove radiate hygge, promising cosy moments of calm. Whether you are revelling in the charming cottage-core interiors or heading out to uncover the surrounding cliffs, coves and countryside, a realm of local treasures awaits your discovery. Let your Cornish dreams become a reality and curate the most memorable days, from Michelin dining and cocktails in beachside bars to historical tours and oceanside moments on soft sands.

Living

Stepping into Meurgara, uncover a beautiful open-plan space lifted with a full-height ceiling, soft natural light and a soothing palette. Stylishly combining downstairs living, it tempts for relaxation throughout the day. Settle into the living area, where underfloor heating and a Wiking wood burning stove exude warmth in the cooler months. With soft colours brought to life with splashes of Jewel Beetle green, Moroccan pink and Sanderson archive prints, this welcoming space is elegantly decorated and furnished with an attractive mix of contemporary, antique and vintage pieces. Adorning the walls, off-white hues imbue calm, while open shelves and alcove windows display potted greenery and tasteful curios. Beckoning for comfort are a sofa and leather armchair arranged around a vintage wooden trunk repurposed as a coffee table. Meanwhile, for entertainment, a Robert's radio and a Smart TV offer entertainment for gathering together after a day of exploring.

Eating and dining

Adjoining the open-plan lounge, the kitchen and dining spaces set the scene for culinary mastery and dinner dates curated with the freshest local produce. Featuring French grey cabinetry with marble worktops and a cream Everhot electric stove, it is equipped with an array of Smeg appliances and cooking utensils for crafting feasts. Making mornings even more dreamy, a Grind coffee machine serves soothing cups of perfectly roasted signature blends.

Savour feasts at the kitchen peninsula, or head outside to gather around the bistro table for repasts with an alfresco twist.

Sleeping and bathing

Follow the staircase to find the pretty, galleried bedroom nestled into the eaves. Residing on an open-plan mezzanine with soft grey painted balustrade, the king-size bed is draped in French linen and topped with a quilted paisley eiderdown. Set within the apex ceilings is a Velux window with treetop views, while adding ambient lighting are twin lamps with Pooky shades. Finishing this room are a vintage chest of drawers, rattan bench and cosy armchair draped in soft sheepskin furs.

Meurgara is home to a bright, airy bathroom situated on the ground floor. White walls and painted wainscoting are complemented by attractive Moroccan Bert & May tiles, and the room is complete with a walk-in shower.

Outdoor space

To savour the serenity afforded by this heavenly corner of Cornwall, step outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens of Meurgara. To the side, a secluded terrace offers the dreamiest dose of indoor-outdoor living with a bistro table and chairs for two, complemented by a charcoal BBQ for open-air banquets.

For slow moments poolside, a shared outdoor swimming pool resides within the grounds of Ennys Cornwall and can be enjoyed during the summer months of May to mid-September. Glide through the crystal-clear waters of the pool or recline on one of the sun loungers for sun-kissed luxuriation. During daylight hours, the pool is open for you to swim at your leisure. Perfect after adventures in the Cornish countryside and coast, there is also plenty of space to store surf boards, bicycles, and adventuring attire in the front porch of Meurgara.
