With a stunning deVOL kitchen, two beautiful bedrooms and an enchanting, tiered garden adorned with English roses, our dog-friendly, Cornish cottage is perfect for couples seeking a dose of oceanside calm. Delightfully perched at the top of Marazion, you're only a short stroll away from an assortment of cosy pubs, the enchanting St Michael's Mount, and the golden sands of West Cornwall. Living
Uncover the darling sitting room, promising sea views and a soft natural palette with calming notes of blue. Settle in for the evening in front of the Smart TV on a choice of cosy seating, including a slate Loaf sofa, love seat and vintage armchair in a sweet paisley print. Or, simply while away slow afternoons with your current page-turner and a champagne coupe in hand, accompanied by inspiring glimpses of ocean scenes beyond the windowpanes.
As this is a traditional and charming cottage with period features, you will find low doorways and a fairly steep staircase.
Kitchen and Dining
A dream for culinary artists, the beautiful Sebastian Cox kitchen by deVOL is made for soulful moments of retreat feasting. Home to an array of Smeg appliances including an oven and induction hob and a smoothie maker for morning blends. In addition, there's an under-counter fridge freezer, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher and everything you'll need for dining in your home away from home. The farmhouse style dining table seats four, perfect for gathering together to savour a hearty, home-crafted menu of Cornish produce, or reside with a latte from the local deli and admire the curated corners of the cottage kitchen of dreams.
Sleeping and bathing
With two equally beautiful bedrooms to choose from, endless moments of calm await at our secret sanctuary. The master bedroom promises the dreamiest space to reside, in a palette of soothing neutral shades and organic textures to soothe the soul, with a super king Feather and Black bed dressed in cloud-like linens. Follow lingering lie ins overlooking heavenly seascapes with a morning coffee moment in the bedroom nook, where a side table and rattan lounge chairs provide the perfect setting for slow living scenes. For storing belongings, you'll find a chest of drawers by Feather and Black and a hanging space. The second bedroom features a Loaf double bed adorned with cosy linens and throws, nestled in a dreamy neutral palette where only the sweetest slumbers await. Natural textures and rustic touches weave through this considered space, with a heavenly fur-draped window seat beckoning for romantic reveries in all seasons.
Between the two bedrooms is the charming family bathroom, where a spacious walk-in shower is adorned with creamy Zeligge tiles, also featuring a rustic stool and heated towel rail.
Outdoor space
Step outside and follow the quaint steps to uncover an enchanting cottage garden, a charming space to forget the world for a while amidst botanical borders and weaving wildflowers. Life's most serene moments await beneath the decked pergola, featuring a comfy corner sofa and table for alfresco aperitifs.
As dusk settles in and the light-adorned pergola illuminates, strike a match and gather beside the firepit for moments of cosy conversation. In addition, there's a vintage bistro table and barbecue for savouring the art of outdoor living in the warmer seasons.
Parking
Whilst there is no private parking at Opaline, spaces can be found in the neighbouring side roads. Alternatively, long-stay parking and EV charging can be purchased in the local car parks.
Dogs
Up to two small dogs or one medium dog are most welcome at Opaline. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
Babies and children

Settled in the charming Marazion, our dreamy cottage lies just a short wander from the square, where oceanside dining at the Godolphin Arms and laidback feasts at the Cutty Sark await. Found within a short boat or stroll along the ancient causeway is the spellbinding St Michael's mount - a National Trust castle perched on a unique tidal island. Venture further to uncover the array of quaint towns and villages nearby, beginning in vibrant Penzance, alive with independent shops and contemporary restaurants such as Orto, 45 Queen Street, and The Artist Residence, all nestled among the boutiques of historic Chapel Street. From here, follow the Victorian promenade past the Art Deco Jubilee Pool towards Newlyn, a thriving fishing harbour home to local's favourites Mackerel Sky, Argoe, Lovett's Wine Bar, and the famed Jelbert's Ice Cream.
