With its perfect position right on the sea front, Crabbers is a lovely seaside retreat for four in the fishing village of Mousehole. Step inside and you'll find a welcoming, cosy home in calming natural colours with semi open-plan living downstairs and two beautiful bedrooms upstairs, whilst out front is a sea terrace for warmer months. You're about 100 yards from the sandy harbour beach and a few minutes' walk from some great places to eat and drink so there's no need to get in a car if you don't want to. Simple yet chic, this is a relaxing, luxurious home stay perfect for both families and couples. It's also dog friendly, meaning no one is left at home!

With its clever inset wood burner, this is a sleek, modern living space yet with touches of its cottage heritage with the wooden panelled wall and the beamed ceiling. There's a sofa, 'snuggler' chair and arm chair to curl up in and a wall-mounted Smart TV should you want to catch up on your favourite box sets.

The cosy kitchen, complete with original inglenook fireplace and a huge wood burning stove, is just perfect for rustling up feasts and snacks. With all the equipment, kitchen and tableware an experienced or budding chef would need, this is the perfect cottage kitchen and we love that the antique dining table and chairs are nestled here, making it ideal for social gatherings. Don't worry if you're in need of a little inspiration, there's lots of cookery books to flick through too!

The two stunning bedrooms, both with gorgeous wooden floors and vaulted ceilings, are simply divine and are guaranteed to be blissful havens for a good nights' sleep. The master bedroom is a super king (which can also be made into twins if need be), with a pretty antique settle whilst the second bedroom has a sweet wrought-iron king size bed. Both are decorated with lovely vintage items and White Company linens, towels and bathrobes.

The earth-toned bathroom, with Moroccan polished plaster walls, is super-cosy with tiled underfloor heating. There's a fabulously large bath made for long soaks whilst the huge walk-in shower with rainfall shower head is perfect to wake you up in the morning. To keep towels warm and fluffy, there's a heated rail too.

Outdoor space

Crabbers boasts a gorgeous sea terrace to the front of the property, overlooking the sea wall and out over Mount's Bay towards St. Michael's Mount. There's a lovely table and chairs set especially for you; a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch or even a tasty cream tea.

Mousehole wasn't built with cars in mind but there are three public car parks - one on the approach to the village and one either side of the harbour - and laybys on the approach into the village.

Step out of your door and wander into the heart of Mousehole, probably the most iconic fishing village in Cornwall. Hugging the coastline and protected by Raginnis Hill, it's also one of the oldest with parts of the harbour wall dating back to the twelfth century. Today the village maintains its olde-worlde charm, with narrow cobbled streets, slate roofs, whitewashed cottages and brightly coloured paint work. It's perfect for foodies with a good selection of restaurants, cafés and delis, and is of course just a hop, skip and a jump to the world-famous fishing village of Newlyn! For things to do, St Ives is only 20 minutes' drive away on the north coast, whilst of course there's St Michael's Mount and Marazion to explore on the south. A hidden gem and a must-visit is Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens - a botanical beauty filled with art as well as incredible sea views and an excellent restaurant. Further afield a visit to the Lizard is a must as an AONB, whilst the harbour village of Portheleven has a fab selection of eateries. Alternatively, pop in the car and head further west to Porthcurno and the Minack Theatre, or further around to Cape Cornwall and Sennen Cove. For a walk from your doorstep, join the South West Coastal Path and walk to nearby Lamorna Cove - approximately five miles (there and back) of glorious sea views and a good yomp to blow away the cobwebs!
