Living and eating
Fika's exquisite open-plan living design combines sumptuous interiors with an awe-inspiring clifftop position through the double aspect, full height picture window, featuring glorious views out towards Rame Head. Discover a curved, blush velvet sofa, nestled perfectly into the angles of this contemporary design and settled beside the gorgeous wood burning stove, just made for cosy evenings in front of the fire and a dose of storm-watching as the waves roll in. There's a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite series and a Wonderboom Bluetooth speaker to create the perfect soundtrack for your getaway. Within the sleek, Mirostone kitchen area you'll find an island complete with induction hob and cooker, along with everything you could possibly need to rustle up a romantic feast for your loved one. Settle into the super-comfy backed stools with a glass of wine, or savour some locally sourced delicacies for supper, whilst gazing over the ever-changing tides. Dining at Fika is accompanied by designer Scandinavian dinnerware and lust-worthy views, best relished from the comfort of your secret sanctuary. Sleeping and bathing
The open-plan living design features an utterly dreamy bedroom space, where the luscious king size bed resides in glorious grey velvet with a cashmere pocket Hypnos mattress and dressed in crisp white French linen bedding. Fall into sweet slumber and awaken to soft sighs of the ocean, greeted by a dream-worthy ocean scene from the comfort of luxurious linens. On warmer mornings, head out onto the deck through the French door to bask in a dramatic sunrise over the far-reaching horizon. Fika's heavenly divan lies in front of a stunning beech panelled feature wall, where concrete light fittings and galvanised switches create a desirable industrial style. We simply adore the Scandi magic of this space, promising cosy corners to escape reality with a book in hand, or hide in bed with your morning latte for lingering lie ins, quietly watching the waves roll in.
The pièce de resistance of this gorgeous space is the vast Lusso stone charcoal-black bath, just perfect for soothing soaks for two, featuring a bespoke window design which wraps around the bathtub, enveloping those sumptuous bubble-topped bathing moments with infinite sea views. Slip softly into romantic retreat reveries, made to captivate the mind and soothe the soul.
In addition, Fika holds a Lusso stone charcoal-black rainfall shower for rejuvenating soaks, underfloor heating to keep toes toasty underfoot and a designer chime towel rail to leave towels warm and fluffy.
There's also plenty of storage space to be found in both the larger wardrobe located in the retreat entrance, along with an open oak wardrobe in the bedroom space.
Outdoor space
Step outside to uncover the simply stunning deck, a huge space for outdoor living which offers 180-degree sea views, whilst retaining perfect privacy. Fika's bespoke design and dream position promises the ultimate solitude, with a lovely rustic stone wall framing beautiful views over the beach below and coastline beyond.
With such enviable views, you may never want to leave; relish seclusion with luxurious sun-loungers, outdoor chairs, a side table and bistro table for al fresco dining and a large slate surface perfect for whipping up feasts on the electric Weber BBQ. Striking blues and whites of the agapanthus, verbena and lavender nestle against the pebbles which surround Fika, dotted with succulents and ornamental grasses which catch in the breeze beautifully. The path fans from the gate to the main entrance along to the deck, where a Cornish slate wall reflects the curves of the headland as it softens into the cliff, offering blissful shelter and seclusion.
Seek inner peace with a moment of sunrise yoga accompanied by the hush of rolling waves, followed by a slow morning breakfast of coffee and local pastries, relish a relaxed barbecue lunch before champagne in the hot tub as the sun begins to set. Parking
There is one allocated parking space for you that comes with a parking permit between the months of April and September. This will be left at the property for you. Outside of these months, parking is possible on the road.
Accessibility
Please note that Fika is approximately a five minute walk from the parking area, and the path leading to the retreat has steps so may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. This allows for clifftop wandering to relish peaceful ocean vistas and moments of quietude in Cornwall's secret beauty spots. Discover unique eateries in the local area, including The Clifftop Café, which is only a 2 - 3-minute walk away from Fika. Head to The Carew Arms in Antony village, well worth a short trip in the car to indulge at this gastro pub with a café and farm shop, or explore The Devonport Inn in Kingsand. For a spontaneous day out, ride the passenger ferry at Cremyll to Royal William Yard where you'll discover an array of cafés, restaurant and boutique stores.
