A special 'Just for Two' rate applies outside of peak weeks and school holidays. At Wool Cottage the discount is 20%. When Wool Cottage is booked for two guests this is on the basis that only the master bedroom is used during your stay.
Living
With its lovingly restored beamed ceiling and large feature fireplace, this room still retains all its original charm from when it was built back in the 16th century. This, combined with luxurious modern touches such as the smart grey velvet sofa and the Chesney wood burner, makes it the perfect spot to retire to at the end of the day with a glass of something special in your hand. We just love the vintage touches in this room, from the hanging antique keys to the recess shelving.
Eating
The stylish shaker kitchen is ever so inviting with its terracotta tiled flooring, hand-painted John Lewis of Hungerford cupboards, quartz worktops and Belfast sink, whilst an induction hob, oven, floor-to-ceiling fridge/freezer and all the other equipment is on hand to create culinary feasts. There's even a Nespresso coffee machine for a perky pick-me-up. The vintage dining table lies in the kitchen and has four gorgeous leather chairs, whilst outside there's a teak table and chairs for a spot of alfresco dining.
Sleeping
Take the winding wooden stairs up and you'll find two charming bedrooms to choose from. The use of the muted yet contemporary Farrow & Ball colour scheme continues, creating calm and relaxing private spaces that truly delight. The generous Master bedroom boasts a seriously sumptuous super king bed, a wonderful window seat and fireplace. The second, smaller bedroom, in glorious shades of dusky pinks and greys, has a zip-and-link bed meaning it can be made into twins or a super king bed. Both bedrooms have super luxurious bedding and linens to ensure a deep, restful nights' sleep.
Bathing
There's a family bathroom complete with bath and overhead shower - perfect for long soaks or quick wake-me-up showers in the morning. In addition, there's a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy and underfloor heating to ensure toes are kept toasty. Luxurious REN products give it the little extra touch. There is also a second loo downstairs.
Outdoor space
Leading out from the kitchen is a lovely, sunny walled courtyard garden where clematis and vines climb the sandstone walls, offering plenty of privacy. Here you'll find a teak table and matching chairs for eating outside - this is a lovely sheltered sunspot!
Parking
There is free on street parking across Burford as well as free car parks nearby.
