Outside, a private patio and panoramic countryside scenery promises to soothe the soul. Uncover endless wellbeing pursuits from dawn until dusk within the ten acres of private grounds at Mount Barns, from early morning strolls to the ancient oak tree, dips in the outdoor swimming pool, rejuvenating afternoon sauna and guided yoga sessions, to hot tub soaks beneath cosmic skies. An array of idyllic country pursuits reside nearby, from the historic city of Worcester to the breath-taking landscapes of the Malvern Hills.
Living, Kitchen and Dining
For the lovers of open plan living, our contemporary barn invites for seamless staycation moments, with the sitting, dining area and kitchen all in one place. Gathered on a hessian rug, two navy velvet sofas by French Connection await for cosy occasions in front of the Smart TV - or simply looking out to the surrounding country views.
Within the sleek, kitchen and dining area, bespoke green shaker cabinetry, a ceramic Belfast sink and sleek quartz worktops offer a divine space for creating and savouring feasts. A breakfast bar with three stools rests below contemporary feature pendant lighting, setting the scene for mid-morning pastries and starry-eyed suppers, accompanied by soulful soundtracks playing from the Bluetooth sound system. The kitchen is complete with everything you'll need for crafting meals in your home away from home, including a Neff oven with induction hob, Nespresso coffee machine, slimline dishwasher, washing machine, undercounter fridge with a freezer compartment, air fryer, and microwave.
Sleeping and bathing
Take the spiral staircase to uncover the mezzanine master bedroom, promising a beautiful, vaulted ceiling with rustic, exposed wood beams and a glass balcony. A king-sized bed dressed in crisp linens awaits for serene slumbers accompanied by countryside melodies, whilst for storage, you'll find a chest of drawers and a small hanging rail.
Through sliding wooden doors, the stylish en suite with a marble-topped sink is a perfect setting to soothe the soul. Light-filled from a large Velux window, an oval-shaped freestanding bathtub exists for moments of calm, whilst a brass, walk-in rainfall shower rests opposite.
Outdoor space
Step outdoors to uncover the private, elevated patio space, a sun-soaked spot for romantic alfresco dining at the bistro table for two, with the addition of a gas barbeque and firepit. There is also a small lawn for canine companions to play, whilst in the surrounding acres there in an additional, communal field for sociable dogs.
Babies and children
Babes-in-arms are most welcome at Chestnut. A highchair and travel cot are available on request. Due to the spiral staircase, this retreat is not suitable for toddlers.
Dogs
Up to two well behaved dogs are most welcome at Chestnut. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
Spa facilities
For all on-site guests at Mount Barns there is a fantastic outdoor spa facility available for guest use. Boasting rolling country views, this idyllic space is a dream in every season, with an outdoor pool, sunken whirlpool hot tub, ice bath and a sauna. The pool is heated from April to October and is also available for cold water dips outside of this period. Summer days are best spent poolside, with loungers for basking in the sun, and bistro tables in cosy corners. With a wealth of health benefits, relish rejuvenating moments as you relax in the sauna and channel your inner Wim Hoff with icy dips in the cold-water plunge bath. Restore a sense of calm with massages, reiki, reflexology or yoga which can be booked at The Nook, the on-site treatment room. Rinse muddy paws at the dog wash station after exploring your beautiful surroundings, with ten acres of private grounds waiting to be uncovered. Savour mindful walks in the wildflower meadow up to the ancient oak tree, the dreamiest spot for champagne picnics.
