The perfect retreat for family and friends alike, Sycamore promises stunning interiors warmed by underfloor heating and infused with curated country charm. Step inside to uncover open-plan spaces exquisitely renovated to harmonise original features and contemporary touches, with vaulted ceilings, open beams, and captivating country vistas. Wake up to dawn blends on the scenic terrace and relax into daydream agendas, from leisurely moments in the sumptuous living area and soothing spa rituals, to alfresco walks in spellbinding scenery. In the warmer months, bask waterside in the sun and glide through the outdoor swimming pool, and in the cosy seasons, recline in the warmth of the wood burning stove as favourite playlists play on the Bluetooth speakers. When adventure calls, Sycamore is perfectly positioned to explore the array of nearby delights, from the city of Worcester and Georgian riverside town of Bewdley, to the undulating Malvern Hills.

Living

Escape reality in style at Sycamore, where oak beams and exposed brickwork accent the open-plan space and floor-to-ceiling windows frame enchanting countryside views over verdant fields. Adorned in relaxing tones that complement the rural setting, the heart of the open-plan living area features an irresistibly comfortable French Connection corner sofa, topped with plump cushions, set beside a wood burning stove. Unwind on the sofa or leather armchair in the ambient glow of the fire and seek entertainment from the Smart TV and Bluetooth speaker.

Eating and dining

Seamlessly blending with the open-plan living room, the kitchen and adjoining dining area promise staycation bliss. Craft delicious moments in the kitchen, where bespoke Shaker-style cabinetry in shades of green features generous worktop space, a Belfast sink, and a breakfast island for brunches and bellinis. To assist keen chefs, integrated appliances and accoutrements include a dishwasher, Neff oven and induction hob, fridge with freezer, and a Nespresso coffee machine. Gather around the dining table to savour delectable repasts together, prepared with the freshest ingredients from local farm shops. On balmy days, French doors can be opened from the dining area to the terrace, welcoming wildflower scents from the surrounding fields.

Sleeping and bathing

Sycamore has two beautiful bedrooms on the first floor with pocket sprung mattresses and cloud-like memory foam for the most serene slumbers.

The first bedroom, a soothing sanctuary nestled within the eaves, features characterfully sloping walls and original timbers. A super king bed resides in the centre, beckoning for blissful nights of repose between the finest linens. A freestanding bath rests in the corner for those soothing soaks and a balcony with a bistro set for two can be found beyond glass doors, enjoying far-reaching views across patchwork fields.

The beautiful second bedroom promises the most heavenly awakenings and peaceful nights, a king size bed is swathed in the most luxurious linens and topped with cosy cushions and throws. Drawers and open shelves stow belongings, and a sofa bed adds an extra touch of comfort.

The bedrooms are complemented by a first-floor bathroom with a walk-in shower, where calming tones, elegant stonework, and a skylight create a tranquil space for self-care rituals.

Outdoor space

Ensconced in luscious countryside and eight acres of private grounds that can be explored at leisure, Sycamore is a dream for soul-soothing sojourns. Head outside to find the terrace where a peaceful patio area merges with manicured greenery. For sun-kissed banquets, a bistro set for two and a dining table take pride of place overlooking the fields. A gas barbecue is ready to channel culinary creativity and indulge in flavourful feasts al fresco with a soundtrack of birdsong. As day gives way to night, venture outside with blankets and warming tipples beside the firepit to gaze up at the cosmos for moon-bathing and stargazing.

Spa facilities

For all on-site guests at Mount Barns there is a fantastic outdoor spa facility available for guest use. Boasting rolling country views, this idyllic space is a dream in every season, with an outdoor pool, sunken whirlpool hot tub, ice bath and a sauna. The pool is heated from April to October and is also available for cold water dips outside of this period. Summer days are best spent poolside, with loungers for basking in the sun, and bistro tables in cosy corners. With a wealth of health benefits, relish rejuvenating moments as you relax in the sauna and channel your inner Wim Hoff with icy dips in the cold-water plunge bath. Restore a sense of calm with massages, reiki, reflexology or yoga which can be booked at The Nook, the on-site treatment room. Rinse muddy paws at the dog wash station after exploring your beautiful surroundings, with ten acres of private grounds waiting to be uncovered. Savour mindful walks in the wildflower meadow up to the ancient oak tree, the dreamiest spot for champagne picnics.
