Boutique Cottages in Brockenhurst

One of the largest villages in the New Forest National Park, Brockenhurst maintains its old-world charm where wild ponies, ponies and cattle still wander through the streets. With a plethora of places to eat, independent shops and pretty corners to explore, it’s a wonderful place to visit.

Situated in the New Forest, there are fantastic cycle routes to be found, as well as plentiful forest walks, horse riding, polo, football, and golf – and what could be better than a spot of Shinrin-yoku, or forest bathing, to calm the stressed or anxious mind?

If all that exercise has worked up an appetite, Brockenhurst has a fantastic choice of cafés, restaurants and traditional pubs to choose from, so whether its coffee and cake you’re after, or an evening of fine dining, you’ll be spoilt for choice.

For shopping, head to Brookley Road, the village high street that hasn’t changed much over the last century, with its fabulously traditional range of independent shops from a butcher and bakers to a greengrocer, ironmongers and chemist. There’s also an art gallery and farm shop to meander through, perfect for local produce to take back to your luxury holiday home in the New Forest.

With reputedly the oldest church in the New Forest, and a magnificent yew tree that’s said to be over 1,000 years old, this historic village has a fascinating past, with a history trail available to guide you through its long and colourful timeline. So whether you’re staying here or just passing through, there’s plenty to explore in beautiful Brockenhurst.
