Living and eating
Open the front door and you'll find yourself in the cosy and inviting open plan living and kitchen area. With beautiful dark wood flooring throughout and unusual reclaimed wood panelling, there's a real lean towards natural beauty, echoing the countryside views from the window.
The living space is dominated by a gorgeous Morso wood burner, whilst two plush sofas and two contemporary armchairs in Harris tweed offers plenty of seating. Warm with echoes of log cabin living, this is a beautiful space in which to relax, whether its gazing out of the window, watching the flicker of the flames or catching up with your favourite tv box set.
The kitchen, situated around the corner, keeps the same theme with cabinets cleverly cladded with reclaimed artist studio floorboards, matching perfectly with grey granite worktops. With an induction hob with oven, plenty of appliances and vibrant orange Le Creuset pieces, you will have all the tools you need to treat your family (or that significant other) to culinary delights.
Next to the kitchen lies the glass topped wooden dining table with bespoke lighting, eye catching artwork and views through the window of the pretty landscaped front garden.
Sleeping
Sanctuary has two lovely, well-appointed bedrooms to choose from. The master bedroom boasts a super king size bedroom swathed in delicate pale colours with hues of orange and dual-aspect views of the countryside and front garden - a tranquil spot just made for long lie-ins and breakfast in bed.
The second bedroom can be made up as a twin or as a super king, ideal for flexible sleeping arrangements. The glass door can be opened to let the Cornish breeze roll in whilst you enjoy a long lie-in or to allow the little ones to run free on the lush green lawn.
Both bedrooms have unique rattan flooring, interchangeable curtains and black out curtains and the owner's bespoke artwork throughout.
Bathing
The bedrooms share the modern and spacious family bathroom which has a large walk-in shower for two, as well as a deep bath with a handheld showerhead. The heated grey towel rail ensures your towels stay warm and fluffy.
There is an additional loo in the utility room, which is right next to the property and which also has a washing machine, tumble drier, a full size fridge freezer and an additional towel rail for drying beach gear - everything you could need for a family escape to Cornwall!
Outdoor space
Sanctuary benefits from a completely private and secluded garden, embellished with interesting features such as the huge granite boulders and green glass Japanese fishing floats intertwined with the wooden fence. The garden is made up of a sun-soaked decking area complete with bubbling hot-tub, relaxed seating comprising of a corner sofa, armchair and coffee tables and a barbecue for those warm summer evenings. There is also a grass section adjacent to the decking which is ideal for little ones and your four-legged friend to play in whilst you take a soak in the hot tub with a glass of wine.
To the front of the property, there is an open grass section which can be accessed from the driveway and from the second bedroom. Being hidden away in the Cornish countryside, you can enjoy utter peace and quiet and with nearly no light pollution here you can enjoy a sea of stars at night.
Please kindly note that there are large granite steps leading up to the walled garden and the hot tub area. For those who prefer not to use the steps which can be uneven, there is access to the flat garden and hot tub area from the rear parking area.

In the Area
You'll be spoilt for things to do in this beautiful part of Cornwall. There are plenty of countryside walks to enjoy from Sanctuary as well as several beaches just a short drive away. Gorgeous Sennen is just one of many to mention and has the most stunning of beaches - a deep, massive swathe of golden sand lined with houses, shops and places to eat.
No trip to the far west would be complete without visiting the incredible Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach. If you manage to catch a play, be ready to be wowed with the most spectacular backdrop (and they carry on whatever the weather, so be prepared!). If you can't make a show, you can still pay this iconic landmark a visit as it is open all day for visitors to look around. After exploring, you can climb down to the golden sands of Porthcurno beach.
The coastline from Mousehole via Sennen to St Ives is spectacular, so head for the South West Coast Path for some incredible walks and stunning vistas. There are delightful coves to explore nearby at Lamorna, St Loy and Penberth and dramatic cliff-top views all the way to Porthgwarra and Land's End. St Ives itself is an artistic and bustling seaside town and is home to the Tate, plus there are plenty of beaches, shops and places to eat. In summer, it's worth heading to Lelant for the park and ride, catching the train, which runs along the Hayle Estuary and coast, into the centre.
Centrally located near St Buryan, The Cottage is an excellent base from which to explore the ancient sites of West Penwith including, notably, megalithic stone circles of Boscawen-un and The Merry Maidens, Lanyon Quoit dolmen, and other standing stones such as The Pipers and Mên-an-Tol.
