If you're seeking a hidden hideaway for you and your beau, far from the hustle and stresses of everyday life, look no further than Acacia, our sleek, modern yet countryside-embracing retreat in the heart of Devon. With open-plan living, endless views over fields and rolling hills, a wood burner, a bedroom to lose yourselves in and a frankly epic bathroom, this home makes a statement - and what better way to express your love than to whisk that special someone away somewhere this incredible? Outside is no less breath-taking with a sunny terrace and bubbling hot tub. Parents to pooches? Don't fret - Acacia welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs to stay too. Its central location means Acacia is perfect for exploring any part of Devon, from the north to the south coast and all the beautiful places in between, whether it's the wilds of Exmoor, the buzz of Exeter or the gentle coastline of Woolacombe.

Living and eating

Acacia benefits from a gorgeous open plan living, dining and kitchen space, so you're never far away from your loved one. With three sets of French doors to make the most of the incredible views over the countryside, this is a wonderfully light and beautiful space to call your own.

At one end, a majestic wood burner reigns supreme, offering flickering, cosy warmth just perfect to curl up in front of. A mustard yellow sofa resplendent in cushions is made for sprawling on, whilst French windows lead out on to the terrace, perfect for letting the sounds of summer drift through on a warm day. In addition, there's a Smart TV, board games and books to keep you entertained, whilst a SONOS sound system can help to create the soundtrack to your holiday.

At the other end of the room lies the kitchen, complete with chic dark cabinets and white worktops, and with an induction hob and oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all the other essentials including a Dualit coffee machine, you'll have everything to hand to rustle up meals to swoon over.

You'll discover the cute dining table and chairs between the two areas, tucked behind the stairs - perfect for meals à deux.

In addition, upstairs on the landing is a further airy spot complete with a desk should you need to catch up on emails or want to be creative - perhaps a spot of painting or writing.

The oh-so-romantic bedroom lies on the first floor, boasting an eye-catching vaulted ceiling, dual aspect windows overlooking the rolling countryside and a sumptuous super king-sized bed. With crisp linens, fluffy bedding and tactile throws and cushions, drifting off to sleep won't be a problem. In addition, there's plenty of storage space in the wardrobe to stow away your things. A stylish dressing table is ideal for getting ready, whilst a Velux window floods the room with light - perfect for breakfast in bed, or for laying back and gazing at the stars at night. Bliss!

Across the landing from the bedroom lies the incredible bathroom, complete with huge freestanding bathtub for two, perfectly positioned to gaze out of the window and adjacent Velux window which adds soft natural light to the room. In addition, there's a huge walk-in shower, complete with rainfall head, for wake-me-up ablutions. We're in love with the monochrome tones used throughout this stylish room, especially the tiles, whilst the huge, heated rail to ensure towels are kept warm and fluffy.

In addition, there's a downstairs cloakroom with shower and loo.

Outside space

Step through the French windows on to the terrace with eye-catching planters, dining table and chairs for meals alfresco, a pair of sun loungers and a fire pit, boasting unspoilt views over the rolling Devon countryside. Tucked around the corner for privacy is a bubbling hot tub - to be enjoyed with a drink in hand, watching the stars twinkle above. Just perfect! Beyond the terrace is laid to lawn, ideal for dogs to play on.

Acacia has private, off-road parking for up to two cars.

Babies are most welcome at Acacia. Please bring your own baby equipment with you.

Up to two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Acacia. We charge £35 per dog per week or short break.

Set in the stunning countryside of mid-Devon, Acacia is wonderfully positioned to explore every part of this beautiful county, from the south coast to the north, and everything in between. Just a short drive will find you in the midst of Dartmoor, perfect for long walks, exploring pretty villages such as Widecombe-on-the-Moor and views from impressive tors - and perhaps a wild swim or two. Head north and unspoilt Exmoor awaits, with lush forests, market towns such as Dulverton and the National Trust's biggest estate, Holnicote. Head to Exeter for a slice of city life, with excellent shops, restaurants, and of course the glorious cathedral. Pay a visit to nearby Knightshayes, a grand 19th century house with gardens and parkland to explore, or Powderham Castle, one of Devon's oldest family homes dating back over 600 years. Keen walkers will love the 180-mile Tarka Trail, passing through ancient woods, farmland, marshland, and wetland - a must for bird lovers. Lydford Gorge is a stunning natural wonder - the south west's deepest gorge and home to the 30-meter high Whitelady waterfall.

Tucked away in the Devonshire countryside, this modern, romantic couples' escape is simply divine, with unspoilt views, gorgeous interiors, and a bubbling hot tub to top it off…and it's dog friendly too!
