Welcome to Ariette, our dreamy escape for up to eight in the heart of eclectic Totnes. A blissful bolthole for multi-generational getaways and celebratory sojourns with friends, Ariette comprises of two retreats - Arina, our Grade II Listed townhouse which welcomes up to six plus two dogs, and our bijou sanctuary Ettie, welcoming two guests and one dog. Both retreats promise luxurious interiors and a calming courtyard for sharing magical moments alfresco with your loved ones. Ariette is just steps from the main high street in Totnes, so it's perfectly positioned to enjoy the delights of this vibrant town, with fantastic eateries, boutique shops and independent galleries. There are also weekly markets boasting an array of artisan stalls, perfect for seeking out indulgent treats and one-of-a-kind gifts. For days at the beach, South Devon's coastline is just a short distance by car, and for walking and exploring, Dartmoor is well worth visiting too.

Uncover two sitting rooms at Ariette. Enjoy cosy moments for two within Ettie's snug lounge, and for spending time with loved ones, Arina's sitting room promises an inviting space for gathering.
Arina's incredible sitting room, located off the main entrance hall with beautiful original feature fireplace, is a wonderful space to spend time together in. Complete with large Oka sofa, armchairs, large circular tuffete ottoman and pretty window seat nestled in the impressive bay window, there's room for everyone. In addition, there's a Smart TV for catching up on your favourite box sets or for a movie night.
Settle down for cosy living moments in the snug lounge space, featuring a Tom Raffield pendant light, comfy two-seater sofa in soft linen and a textured jute rug, all creating a calming corner made to relax and unwind. While away blissful evenings catching up on your favourite series with the Smart TV and sound bar, or savour a little quietude with a glass of something lovely and delve into one of the many beautiful books on display. On warmer days, open the French doors to welcome a gentle breeze through the linen drapes and invite the outside in.
Eating and dining
You'll find two eating and dining spaces at Ariette, with the main kitchen situated in Arina and a separate kitchen and dining space for two in Ettie.
Arina's stunning kitchen is just a dream to cook in, with eye-catching wooden cabinets and sleek white worktops, as well as parquet flooring and bay window. Fully equipped with everything you'll need to cook like a professional, there's an electric multifunction oven (which includes a microwave), induction hob, dishwasher, fridge and all the other essentials including a Nespresso Vertuo coffee machine with milk frother. Within the kitchen lies the dining table from Neptune, easily seating eight, it's perfect for laid-back meals and celebratory dinner parties alike.
There is also a separate boot room which houses an additional fridge freezer and is ideal for your canine companions to sleep, where dog beds are provided. In addition, there's a laundry room on the first floor which is home to a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron, ironing board and hanging rail.
Ettie has a stunning L-shaped kitchen, with everything you could need to romance that special someone with a feast for two, from the induction hob and oven to a microwave and dishwasher. Uncover ample space for prepping your chosen dish with local treats, plus a lovely stone counter bar with oak stools rests between the kitchen and lounge area, perfect for pared-back brunches and intimate dining.
Sleeping and bathing
You'll find four beautiful bedrooms at Ariette, with three bedrooms located in Arina and a further king-sized bed with ensuite in Ettie.
Arina's first bedroom, with beautiful bay window and in welcoming, warm colours, is a cosy retreat to escape to at the end of a day's exploring. With a king-sized bed, wardrobe, armchair, large chest of drawers, it offers plenty of space, whilst it also boasts an ensuite shower room, complete with large walk-in shower with rainfall head and underfloor heating.
The second bedroom, also with an impressive bay window, is seriously romantic and comes with a king-sized four poster bed by Neptune. Nested in the corner by the exposed stone feature wall is a gorgeous freestanding bath, whilst there's a mirrored wardrobe and medium-sized chest of drawers to store your belongings.
The third bedroom is a small, 4' double - perfect for little ones or a single adult. There is also a sumptuous, single fold-out bed making this space ideal for multiple children. This room, with gorgeous mustard yellow tones, overlooks the back of the house and is a fabulously peaceful spot.
Bedrooms two and three have use of a separate shower room with stunning, green patterned tiling, a large walk-in shower with rainfall head, and underfloor heating to keep toes warm.
All the beds are bedecked in luxurious linens, cloud-soft bedding and gorgeous cushions and throws, whilst both shower rooms have heated rails to keep towels warm and fluffy.
To the left of the entrance hall lies Ettie's heavenly bedroom, for the seekers of a sumptuous space to retreat in luxurious tranquillity. This swoon-worthy sanctuary holds a cushion-clad super king bed, adorned in Egyptian cotton bedding, a lavish throw and an array of beautiful finishing touches. In addition, you'll find waffle bath robes and spa slippers to complement those self-care rituals, plus plenty of storage space for luggage.
Ettie's stylish shower room is perfect for wake-me-up moments, decorated in gorgeous grey tones along with an overhead rainfall shower and a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy. You'll also find a washing machine tucked away in the storage space.
Outdoor space
Uncover a beautiful sunken seated area, complete with a table for alfresco dining and planters - a gorgeous spot that comes into its own as twilight descends, with gorgeous outside lighting. In addition to this, you'll find a wooden bench perfect for afternoons of quietude with your current page-turner. Relax in the courtyard, with a designated L-shaped seating area complete with a table for savouring your first sip of morning coffee and pre-dinner tipples. Spend blissful moments alfresco at golden hour and soak up a dose of calm in the warmer months.
Parking
There is private, off-road parking for up to three cars at Ariette, accessed by coded electric doors. Within the garage, there is an EV changer available for your use.
Babies and children
Babies and children are most welcome at Arina. Please bring your own baby equipment with you. Please note that Ettie is one of our adults only retreats.
Dogs
Up to three dogs are welcome at Ariette between the two retreats. Arina welcomes up to two well-behaved dogs. Two small/medium dog beds are provided in the boot room. Ettie welcomes one well-behaved dog. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.
In the Area
Located in the heart of quaint Totnes, this luxury retreat is just a stone's throw from the main high street. Brimming with eclectic shops and delicious independent eateries, Totnes town will leave you spoilt for choice. For a contemporary Devonian dining experience, head to Gather to sample their delicious tasting menus, built with only the finest locally sourced and foraged ingredients. If you'd prefer to rustle up a feast from the comfort of your retreat, head to Ben's Farm Shop for fresh, organic and free-range produce. The iconic Market Square is bustling with traders every Friday and Saturday, selling everything from local honey to exquisite antiques. The Good Food market is also held here on the third Sunday of every month. If you're looking to explore towns set on the beautiful Devon coastline, the dazzling Salcombe and Dartmouth are just over half an hour away by car. For a dose of wilderness, the picturesque Dartmoor National Park is in the other direction.
