Living
We're a little bit in love with the sitting room at Crumb Cottage, super-snug with characterful beams and a cosy flickering wood burner, this is a lovely hideaway to escape to at the end of the day. A deeply comfortable navy-blue sofa, adorned with cushions, awaits you to snuggle up on, whilst the Kilim-covered footstool is made for perching weary feet on to be warmed by the fire - bliss! There's also a Smart TV and a Roberts DAB radio with Bluetooth for when you want to create the soundtrack to your holiday.
As this is a traditional and charming cottage with period features, please bear in mind that the ceilings are quirky and low in places.
Eating
Crumb Cottage is home to the loveliest kitchen, resplendent in a stunning shade of Farrow and Ball Babouche to brighten the dullest of days. Full of country charm, don't be fooled by its quintessentially traditional feel with beamed ceiling and tiled floor; it's fully equipped with all the mod cons you'll need to rustle up a feast for each other, plus underfloor heating to keep toes toasty warm. There's a Rangemaster induction cooker, slimline dishwasher, fridge and all the other essentials including a Nespresso coffee machine for that wake-me-up brew in the morning. Tucked close to the window lies an oh-so-intimate table and chairs for lazy brunches or romantic dinners late into the evening.
In addition, there's a washer dryer tucked away in a cupboard upstairs in the shower room.
Sleeping
Take the stairs up and you'll discover the gorgeously romantic bedroom, in a soothing shade of Farrow and Ball Setting Plaster, with a fabulous semi-vaulted and beamed ceiling. Falling asleep is just a dream in the Loaf 'Spindle' king-sized bed, swathed in luxurious linens, super-soft bedding, and cosy throws.
Bathing
Just across the landing from the bedroom lies the stunning shower room, complete with a large walk-in shower, beautifully adorned with Morrocan Zellige blue tiles. The owner provides sumptuous 100 Acres products and there's a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy for you to envelop yourself in when you step out of the shower.
Outdoor space
Outside, you'll discover a very pretty courtyard garden, where an eye-catching pergola provides dappled shade on hot sunny days, whilst lighting means you can stay outside long after the sun has set, and the stars appear above. There's also a teak dining table and four chairs, plus a Weber gas barbeque for alfresco dining.
Please note that there is a right of way through the garden for the neighbours, so on occasion there will be people walking through.
