Nestled on the boundary of Devon and Cornwall, the Tamar Valley boasts some of the most beautiful landscape in Cornwall.  A designated Area of Outstanding National Beauty, it lies on the south Cornish coast around the rivers Tamar, Tavy and Lynher and runs from Tavistock down to Plymouth, with Dartmoor National Park to the east. Famed for its mining heritage, the remains of over 100 copper mines can be found along the river, making the area a World Heritage site.  Take the Tamar Valley Branch Line for a train ride that takes in all the beauty of the area, whilst walkers and cyclists will enjoy the extensive network of footpaths and trails to explore with routes to suit everyone.
