Just wow - The Gallery is a beautiful escape for those wanting to hide away from it all in the most idyllic country setting. Nestled in 15 acres of private grounds including woodland and grassy meadows, a stream and a pond, this is perfect for those wanting rest, relaxation and to unplug and reconnect back to nature. Inside, the interior designer has thoughtfully created a peaceful, romantic and luxurious haven for two filled with charming, original features. Just three hours from London, The Gallery is also perfectly situated to explore the sites of mid Devon such as Dartmoor, Exmoor, the north and south coasts and of course the historic city of Exeter. Please note that this retreat sits next to Apple Blossom House.
Living and eating

The open-plan living space has bags of cottagey character, with a large four-seater sofa for curling up on, a large, cosy wood burning stove and a gorgeous window seat overlooking the garden. In addition, there's a 4K HD Smart TV for film nights or catching up with your favourite boxsets. The country-chic kitchen lies to the back of the room and is fully equipped with everything you need to rustle up romantic feasts for your loved one (including the all-important Nespresso coffee machine) plus a breakfast bar for meals on the go. There's a lovely round dining table to the side of the kitchen and it's the perfect setting for intimate dinners for two.

Sleeping and bathing

The oh-so-romantic en suite bedroom is a total dream with vaulted, beamed ceiling, large windows overlooking the garden and a skylight making it a beautifully light, bright and airy room. The sumptuous super king bed is extremely comfortable and comes swathed in luxurious linens and super-soft bedding, ensuring deep sleeps and long lie-ins. The en suite is a gorgeous wet room with underfloor heating that boasts a double shower with two huge rainfall shower heads and a heated rail to keep towels warm and fluffy. In addition, there's a stunning freestanding bath for two up the wooden stairs on the mezzanine level for long, languorous soaks - blissful!

Outdoor space

Lucky, lucky you! The immense grounds are yours to explore with wild meadows, a stream and pond, grassy paths and woodland walks. The woods are pungent with wild garlic in early summer, whilst fruit trees are pink-tinged clouds of blossom in spring and laden with fruit in autumn. Dogs will love exploring this natural playground, whilst it's just perfect for a picnic under the shady boughs of the trees in high summer. In addition, there's a barbeque and a picnic bench for a spot of alfresco dining - just idyllic.

There is plenty of private off-road parking.

A travel cot and high chair is available on request.

Farm Shop Food - Delivery Service

If you would like a farm shop food and drink hamper to create your own cuisine from locally sourced seasonal produce, see the Thorne's Farm Shop and Cafe Facebook page. You can reserve and pay for your food hamper in advance so it will be ready and waiting in the property when you arrive.

Pre-prepared meals

As an alternative to a food hamper you can order pre-prepared food which will be delivered and left to cook at your leisure. The meals will be created by the chef and yourselves depending on budget, seasonality and dietary requirements, these will also need to be pre-ordered and paid for in advance.
