Living
Full of storybook allure, the enchanting open-plan living area of The Gallery exudes rustic romance. Adorned with period features and bathed in soothing hues, it blends the traditional and the contemporary with comfort and character at every turn. Beckoning for slow moments, a thoughtfully curated lounge area features a large four-seater sofa, topped with cosy scatter cushions and complemented by a matching ottoman for those laidback moments. A sumptuous armchair offers somewhere cosy to recline with a book, while a pretty window seat overlooks the garden and affords an ever-changing portrait of greenery. Radiating warmth and ambience is a wood burning stove, and adding entertainment is a 4K HD Smart TV.
Eating and dining
For the curators of culinary delights, the kitchen features everything you need to craft the most flavoursome repasts. Cream units topped with sleek stone-coloured oak offer generous space for food preparations, along with neatly stowed utensils and equipment, such as an integrated oven and all-important Nespresso coffee machine. While pots simmer, a kitchen peninsula provides somewhere to relax over a glass of something special. When plates are served, an inside dining table and chairs and outdoor picnic bench promise the perfect settings for feasting.
Sleeping and bathing
The beautiful master bedroom is a dream with a vaulted, beamed ceiling, large windows overlooking the garden and a skylight through which to watch the stars. The sumptuous super king bed offers irresistible comfort, swathed in the finest linens and cosiest throws for restful repose and lingering lie-ins.
Next to the bedroom, the stunning ensuite wet room is warmed by underfloor heating and a heated towel rail, featuring a double rainfall shower. For blissful relaxation, a dreamy freestanding bath resides on a separate mezzanine level, promising a calming space for serene soaks.
Outdoor space
Step outside this romantic retreat to discover the rewilded grounds. Venture along the secret trails, explore hidden viewpoints and lose time in the magic of nature. Parking
There is plenty of private off-road parking. There is also an untethered, 7.4kW, type 2 electric charging point for guest use.
Babies and children
Children and one babe-in-arms are welcome at The Gallery. A travel cot and highchair are available on request.
Dogs
Three well behaved dogs are very welcome. Please note, there is an additional fee per dog, per week or short break.

The Gallery is ideally placed for a serene immersion in nature. In the verdant heart of mid-Devon, it is ensconced in a picturesque pastoral patchwork and promises an array of things to see and do. For wilderness escapism, the National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor offer endless enchantment for walkers and cyclists with a wealth of paths and trails to follow. Especially enticing for cyclists, the Exe Estuary Trail begins in nearby Exeter and covers sixteen miles, connecting the coastal towns of Exmouth and Dawlish. For beachside bliss, the South and East Devon coasts are home to countless coves and beaches, such as Teignmouth and Budleigh Salterton Beach. To the North, enjoy the wide expanse of sandy beaches and surf waves at places like Saunton Sands or Putsborough.
To fuel days of fairytale adventures, make the most of the array of eateries near The Gallery. Close to the cottage, Thorne's Farm Shop sells home-grown fruit and vegetables, as well as locally sourced bread, meat, cheeses, preserves and more. Visit Thorne's pick-your-own fruit farm and peruse the deli for delicious treats. For the most delicious gastropub repasts, seek the Ring O Bells in Cheriton Fitzpaine. Meanwhile for Michelin recommended dining, you can secure reservations at Stage in Exeter and Winslade Manor in Clyst St Mary.
